The good news is that there is support for Symbian platforms for an MS Office compatible product called Quickoffice (see http://www.quickoffice.com/). BUT they only support the Series 60 platform - why not lobby them to extend support to cover the P800? I have emailed them twice in as months. |

Is 70 the p800 version youd excpect them to work with the newer versions.
I assume editing Office files via p800 can be tricky.

Hi Vermania.
I am hoping to buy an IR keyboard with Beta s/w for the P800 some time in the next 5 days. Now if this works I can see the potential if Quickoffice could be made to work with the P800.

The World is biased towards Series 60, I would think, that the p800 has more power, and a better User interface for Office App's. I thought the P800 was targeted in this section of the market, still those asses go and make Series 60. they make me

I canīt beleive that there is no product yet to do this.
I had a crap 9210i and this peice of shit could edit MS documents and P800 is a far better product and no-one has developed one yet....I can not be the only person who needs to edit MS Docs..
Anyway if that is the worst I can say about the p800,

I understand you fustration as I was previously a Psion 5 user and EPOC (software that is used as the basis of Symbian OS) supported a word processor and spreadsheet compatiable with MS Word and Excel. But for some reason SE have not ported these to UIQ. They have the s/w!!
