I'll definitely buy it, becauser I have somuch cash that I can wipe my arse with it. Lol!
Seriously, I probably won't buy it straight away (unusual for me!) because I'm in a contract with my P800. Once that's finished, I'll no doubt wait for the next SE smartphone to come out.

No question, will upgrade as soon as possible. Love the apps on the P800, can't stand the sub Fisher Price design. |

i don't like the design...the lines and colors of p800 is the best!
The only one thing that i prefer of the p810, is the screen and OS, but if the SE give us the possibility of upgrade p800 with UIQ 2.1, i'm ok for 2 year:D |

My o' my...
U been having a bad day, RedCrow?
As for me, I'll hang on to the P800 until I can get the 810 at an affordable price. Always get some offer from some of my contacts that get secondhand units very early. (Retuns to shops, NOT stolen goods... )

yes Oh yes ...lost my Pin for my Spanish fone just as I'm going to spain ..then couldnt find the PUK ......!!!!
I just think that people are praising retarded design when other things have got it so right already ??!!
I love Ericsson phones, I have owned far too many , I thought it was wonderful when they produced the clone of the HP320 handheld PC ...but why this symbian route ??? I had a r380 ...whoaoaa so dated before it was introduced ...
do you have a pocket PC ? or a pocketpc phone version ?? so many converging devices ...wonderful !!
why re-invent something ? that has already been done twice as good?
t10 t28 t39 t65 t68 t66 t600 ...wonderful ...but r320 r520 r380 p800 a step backward ??? |

I disagree with you. I've tried the Qtek 7070, and I find the lack of a touchscreen annoying. I own an iPaq, and I've used that with my T68i and a T610. Finally got bored with dragging them both around, and got a P800. Can't say that I'll ever look back. Installed Linux on the iPaq and use it as a backup my mail and important documents.
It's all about personal preference and about trying to get used to it. PocketPC is really hassle free, but Symbian is so much more versatile. I remember I used to hate it when my iPaq went on churning as I used PPC. Now in linux everything is a blast!

I WON'T
Not unless it has some MUST HAVE feature.
If it has built in fax capabilities then I might CONSIDER.
But the spec so far ain't such a leap that I should sell my current P800 (at a loss) and then shell out more money for the P810/900.
The difference between the two phones is like the difference between the T68 and T68i.
Ain't much to get excited about if you own the earlier model.
I think I will wait for the P1000 (or whatever they gonna call it). |

Linux ...Mmmm was going to try one of those sharp machines but dont know whether I would have the time . I'm a photographer/graphic artist and need as much compatability as I can get .so I stay with what I've used ...if only Apple Newton would have burgeoned.
I think we all stay with what serves our purpose, but i'm damned if I'm upgrading just because fashion denotes it . ! I need to carry around a lot of kit and the more portable it is the better.
wish list: a cross-platform pda, with built in camera, hi res screen, a truly pocket version of Photoshop (pocket artist does the job) ..with detatchable triband fone that supports data fax gsm and satellite ....then and only then would I consider upgrading ...and only if it could make me an expresso coffee |

Put me down for one of those as well!!
As for running linux with graphic work, I'm sure you'll find whatever you need out there, free of charge...

I won't. My P800 currently does everything i expect it too and even more. Apps make a smartphone usefull, not the phone.
There are only two reasons for me to switch:
1) Someone makes a killer app exclusively for the P810. Quite unlikely because i'm not looking for apps anymore. Have everything I need now.
2) My p800 konks out and I have to buy a new phone. |
