I done a search but couldn't find anything relevent,
When I try to install the new beta vid camera it comes up with the message "install e cam compatibility" or something similar and wont let me finish the install.
Any ideas why? |

You need a firmware update.
This is discussed on virtually every Camcoder related thread Ive seen numerous times.

I have a feeling that upon final release there will be an ecam compatibility installation file for older firmwares. :)

wasn't for me... I no longer have a P800 but I still follow P800 threads in case I can help, and I didn't think the search you offered really helped much. nothing personal so no need to get all sarcastic about it!
