unable to detect Dss |

Hi guys,
I had just reinstalled my system to Win2000 with service pack 4. And now, the system is unable to detect or install driver for the Dss. Anyone has any means of resolving this issue?? I tried installing the Dss driver and PC Suite 1.5.1. Still can get it to work. My Phone Link reflects only Com1, Com2 and Infrared |

I have same problem today loll,well the solution is go to the ericsson site and download the dss-20 usb drivers  |

if its not detecting it (and thus not asking for drivers at all) then I'd be worried about the connection; try it in another PC if poss..
Otherwise check for Other Devices in Device Manager and then force it to use the drivers from the SE site.

Uninstall the PC suite.
From the control panel, delete all your USB drivers.
With the sync unit connected, reboot.
The USB drivers will be detected.
Reinstall 1.5.1
Voila! (Should work - I had the same problem with XP and this solved it).

My P800 cradle uses the DCU11 drivers, not the 20 series.

Win2K detected the cradle properly with those. I've been syncing for weeks, so I know it works

Yes there two different cradles / Sync Stations, which use two different USB drivers even though externally they look identical.
Look at the part number on the label underneath:
KRY 105 189, this version uses the DSS-20 USB Drivers, whereas
KRY 105 183 uses the DCU-10 (or DCU-11) USB Drivers.

hi,
I'm an owner of k700i, and I borrowed a DSS 25 from a friend to update the firmware.
When I plug the stand into a USB I get a USB <-> Serial new device found, I try to point the wizard to search for drivers in the folder I've downloaded the ones about dss 25 but nothing can be found it says, and that these drivers do not contain support about my device or something. Then I have to connect to internet to search there and find it as a USB <-> Serial Converter. It isn't be found or labeled as DSS-25 or something. I 've even tried pointing to it drivers for DSS 20 but nothing
I've been trying for days to find an alternative. Mobile monitor finds the phone, but the java applet on the online update service returns error "Cannot find Sync Station".
Note that the Sync Station is :

win xp and firewall off when i'm doing the process
could someone explain me why does this thing happen? isn't it an DSS 25? why the drivers i downloaded from SE wouldn't apply ??
