Hi, can you send it too? at dyobbs@yahoo.com. It's a pre-requisite for a camcorder.

Does this mean that having this file will enable us with the early firmware to use the video recorder?

If so please someone do the honours innholiday2002@yahoo.co.uk

I don't think it will work if the file you need to override is on a rom drive, as far as I know you can't write to them (I might be wrong). Sorry to put anyone down about this new new idea.

But.... if the file is on the c drive then it may work. If so let everyone know

I hope people aren't getting too excited about this. My P800 currently had R1D, if I try to install ECam.sis included with the Camera API I get the error:

'ECamCompatability' has not been installed.
Please install 'ECamCompatability' and try again.

Which is exactly the same error as I get when I try to install the Camcoder.

This pretty much tells me that 'ECamCompatability' is not included within ECam.sis and therefore would not be in any dll which is on your P800 after installing it.

I think it's time for people who have R1D or below to face up to the fact that they have three options

1. Accept that the Camcoder you currently have will not work.
2. Get you firmware upgraded and enjoy all the benefits it will bring.
3. Be patient and hope that the final release of Camcoder will work on all firmware versions.
