Hi all,

If you find that MIDI playbacks on your P800 is:

1. Soft
2. Poor quality instrument (in MIDI speak they are called "patches")
3. Missing instruments

Visit my site. Under the "Tips & Tricks" sections, I have got a trick that shows you how to replace the built-in P800 patches (size: 101K) with a complete higher quality patch set (size: 482K) and how to switch between the new set and the built-in patch sets. Yes, the better patch set is also provided.

Have fun.

Cheers,

Sorry! I have linked to your webside but cannot rename the folder in my Z Rom drive! It's been informed that " the file/folder is read only" so I cannot rename the folder and cannot effect the new patches!

Help me how to do please!

Thanks

Hehe, very nice

Although I will keep my old midi-set, because of the 400k diskspace and because of the 10 sec wait it is probably not possible to use a midi as an alarm sound...

I dont seem to have a "Beatnik" folder in either C or D, should I just create this folder, or am I missing a previous download that creates this folder?

Also, is it the "NPATCHES.HSB" file that I have extracted that I am copying to this location? Just curious as I have only really used .SIS files before on my P800.

Diggs09,

I did just that (on my C drive) and it worked a treat! Propper piano sounds at last!

Cool.

I assume you mean create the folder?

I'll give that a try and see how I go
