Went to a phone training day on Sunday and the Sony Ericsson rep said that there is a video recorder in testing. It will be downloadable so there will be no need to get your phone upgraded to use the feature.
That's all I know so far. |

It is not illegal to record a phone conversation in Sweden unless none of those who have the conversation knows about it. Many reporters here tape their phone conversations. And if I am not all wrong this is mostly a swedish product. So it should be in the phone.

Meuser, I am afriad you may be incorrect, this is a copy of my earlier post on this topic.
In the UK it is legal to record conversations even if the other person is unaware of the recording. BUT the recording must not be made available to a third party, i.e anyone that was not intended to recieve the information. The recording must me for your own use.
I would appear that if someone were to say "You can tell so and so that he is a ........." then that would probably count as permission and therefore it might be OK to play it to the 3rd party.
So if the recording is for you fine.
If you want to play it to someone else get permission.
If you are interested the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) is the relevant ACT. (www.hmso.gov.uk)
cheers
