Hi all,
Droll will be releasing the System Manager v1.0 for the P800 at 1:00pm (CET) time. You can visit my site at URL http://renegade.w3xs.com for the program.
SMan is a simple utility that manages processes running on your P800. While the idea is not new (qFileMan, Switcher), SMan's improves upon the existing utilities by providing a friendlier user interface and a number of additional features that make it convenient to manage your processes. Beside the obvious task list and task termination, SMan also allows you to do the following:
* Take a snapshot of the current running tasks. You can use the snapshot to flush all tasks which are NOT in the task list thereby providing a quick way to clean your system. Running less tasks in the background conserves valuable memory and battery life.
* Create shortcut links. The five (5) icons on the application picker bar can sometimes be insufficient. SMan provides an additional seven (7) shortcuts through which you can launch your favourite application.
* Compress the current system heap to reclaim free memory that is unused. While the OS does this automatically on a need-be basis, some people have this phobia of wanting to see more free memory.
Cheers,

I would prefer a little more traditional one (not an ass), but I can understand that many find it amusing. Is there a way of changing it by yourself? Anyway, thanks for a great app.

@Froddan:
I see you like the SMan but not how it looks (icon).
Currently, there are no plans to change it, sorry.

Strange, it misdetects the Mobile Othello game as "Java" and shows no icon.
Any ideas (is this a bug)? |

@oferlaor:
It is not a bug in SMan, this also happens with qFileMan as well.

shortcuts don't work even though they are set in the option. All the slots still say 'unassigned'.
otherwise handy.
the arse looks like breasts if you like! |

@peanut:
If you look at the screen, you most probably get a system message saying "Validating..." and once that message disappears, the shortcut lists will display/work properly.

Nothing wrong with the icon at all. And who give a **** about and icon anyway? As long as the program works great. Well this one works great, never had any problems with it.
