basically, it's too bulky, got too many bugs, no profiles, memory usage is not well controlled, the screen is too fidly, how about big numbers to press when in keypad mode. The phones plain ugly with the flip.
Go on talk me out of it, i'm thinking of going back to nokia and i'm a ericsson engineer.

judging from your reasons i think you should do that. you have wasted a lot of your cash in buying the p800 and it's not worth it. a lot of p800 owners here are not admitting that their phones are giving them problems and has bugs. reality hurts. it's like you bought a new BMW 745i that keeps on giving you mechanical problems. even upgrades do not work on it. don't just look at nokia, look at other phone manufacturers with better phones coming out like siemens, samsung, panasonic etc.

from p800 owners like you who are having problems with their phones not just in esato but in other phone forums as well. that changed my mind greatly on getting it.

what're all these problems and bugs we're not admitting to then? no had a single problem with mine, adn it's definitely the best fone i've ever had, no doubts at all.... but if u don't like it, get rid of it, move onto something else, no skin off my nose!

what's so shit hot about it, the software crashes, the weight, the annoying fact that it only comes with 16meg of memory and other sony memory sticks are not compatible with it.
yeh it comes with some headphones and a nice stand, but half the bluetooth headsets don't work with it and it couldn't even locate my mates p800..
how about some suggestions on some decent phones...any out there.

apart from "your mate", where's the evidence of this? i've heard very few (if any) stories of BT headsets that don't work with the P800

ok fair enough but as u haven't got one u are really in no situation to comment about what the majority of p800 owners feel about there phones? u are visiting SE forums where people will bring up problems with their phonues and suggestions on how to make them better! that's what the forums are for..
i think if u did a poll of p800 owners if they liked there phones the the overwhelming majority would be yes!
and migzy_1 just get rid of it i take it the only reason u got one is due to the fact u are an SE engineer and got it for free or WTF did u get it if u tyhink it is so damn ugly?

you're teling me i can use my sony magicgate memory stick from my mp3 player in my p800, ok, how and where can i purchase the stuff to do it
yeh it comes with memory on board, that gets used up by all the apps that don't close properly, so you have to use a 3rd party bit of software to free it up.
come on ericsson, sort you're act out and produce a proper working phone

i got the phone by selling my 7210 for loads of money as my contract was running out and buying the p800 at http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk for well cheap.
and no i don't work for ericsson, i work for another company and i'm qualified in fixing ericsson PABX's.
dealt with ericsson for 5 years now worked for them for 2 and quit cos they were s**t.
p.s i said 128 magicgate memory stick, not the duo...learn to read
