Why would you wan't your phone to look like a beached whale?
And that price would only be good if you already have a(several) regular mem stick, if not, better off getting a DUO.

According to the website, it's only 5mm thicker. It's not that bad, IMO. |

5mm isn't that bad... IF the P800 was only 12mm thick!!!
It's bad enough that the P800 is over an inch thick... I love my P800, but I wish I could put it on a diet.
If you're gonna order something from P800er.com, get the 128MB Duo... I did!! I'm so happy. $12 overnight FedEx shipping... total of $132. I ordered it one day, went to sleep... then [i]poof[/p] when I woke up, it was waiting for me at my door!!! (9am the next day)
The Duo is worth it. If I had a lot of regular memsticks... I'd sell them all, and upgrade to Duos (since they're backwards compatible anyway) But that's me.
If you don't mind the bulk... then the alternate battery cover with the MS slot is worth it... I just wish they kept the bulk down to a minimum (2mm more should've been the max) |

I do have other sony products which use Memory Stick..For one my Sony Vaio laptop and My Sony Cybershot-U both take full size MS.And i do have 2 16mb..2 64mb & 1 256mb MS's so much more convenient for me to use the full size format rather than the duo!!....And im not really bothered about the slightly bigger size!!....Suits me just fine. |

Wait...is this a Memory Stick reader for Regular Sized Mem Sticks? And NOT DUOs? Cus if it is...in the long run it will save u a ton of money if ur planning on extending the memory of the P800. Cusu can get 128mb Memory Sticks on EBay for like $30 in some cases, where as the FUOs are costing up to 3x or 4x that...so i dunno...5mm isnt that bad. I dont really mind the thickness of the p800 due to everything i can get out of it.

DOML doesn't post the make/brand of this accessory. Is it an official Sony Ericsson accessory? If not, what's its brand? |

this is what the P800 SHOULD have looked like...with this, u wont have to deal with the stupid WAY overpriced DUOs. Im wondering though,...it says it reads a 128mb Card at about 5 seconds is that as high as it can read? it doesent say that 128mb is its limit so if thats true it may be able to read the new 500+mb MC's that are out

First thank you for pointing out this extension.
Well if it reads Memory stick pro (up to 30GB) then i will go for it
if not then i prefer duos.
I think it will be much more money earnings if somebody finaly
makes BT FOLDABLE KEYBOARD so i can replace my notebook Sony C1XD for trips... even for games some BT joystick would be nice and money earning |

For those who need more than 128mb on their P800, this thing is great. U can have a 128mb DUO in the regular slot and add another 128mb memstick in the jacket! Then u got 256! And when u don't need that much space, u just switch the jacket with the regular backcover, so the P800 is only 5mm thick when u need more than 128mb...
I think this is great, I always wanted a couple of videos, some games and a lot of mp3s on my P800, but because of the 128mb-limit and the fact that the DUOs cost so much I havent been able to do this. |

I don't think you can access 2 cards at the same time as the MS jacket probably use the MS Duo slot's contacts to address the regular MS card. |

i have got a pic of a "virtual " keyboard somewhere, uses a laser to project the KB on your desk then measuring where your fingers break the lasers to see what buttons you've pressed. now how cool is that?
