Hi there.
Like many others I still cant get DOOM running on my P800. I have both the wad file on my P8. In file manager they r under the D drive uner media and then document. However when I run doom it begins to run but just sticks at the screen saying" runnig doom..." with the stop and resume button. Any Ideas? Under storagemanager in control panel the file are stored in on the external storage and under the other file (thats where they where beamed too) rather than document. wud this effect anything? If so how can I move them? (I've tried to copy to documents!) Or cud it just be memory? Sorry to drag on im just really stuck thats all!
Cheers Matty

Files should be in documents/doom/ folder. Check the help for doom. Regards! Peter

Files should be in documents/doom/ folder....
The files are stored in the D drive (duo) under documents under media. If I move them to the c drive its the same. Dose it matter what drive they are in? If I reboot nothing happens? |

No, i doesn't matter if it's stored on the internal or external memory, Just remember to have the sis file and both wad files in the same place. Under Documents you should see a folder named; DOOM, place both the wad files in this folder.

So I should have both wad files under Documents as well as the sis (is that edoom?) file and all its contents under the SAME folder either on the internal or external drives?
If I do put all the files together in one folder the P8 transfers them all except the "rdoom.rsc" which it says is in use then the icon goes and I have to put all the files back under"edoom" Ideas? Cheers Raven

Well, this is what I do, I have the 64MB DUO and the full version of Doom. I transfer the SIS file to the phone and install it on the DUO, then I transfer both the wad files to the DUO, I open File Manager and go to D:Media Files\document\unfiled, where I will find both the wad files, then I move the wad files to the DOOM folder(it's right above the unfiled folder), then I exit File Manager and start Doom from the applications list, easy as that. Hope it helps.

NO. What I meant was that the edoom.sis file and the doom1.wad and doom3.wad must be in the same memory(either internal or external), not in the same folder... It is just the two wad files that must be in the DOOM folder under Documents.
Cheers!

Bugger! Thats excactly what I do but the darn thing just wont run. I have the wad files in exactly the same place but no go! Do i need the other edoom files under the DOOM folder or just the wad files? When I run doom it just says "stop or Resume". Im really sorry to keep goin on Raven olde boy but I've been trying 4 ages to get this running. Do you think t could be lack of space? I still have about 9mb left on the DUO. Cheers

You don't need the sis file on your phone....
Just install it from your pc(if you don't have a pc you can of course install it from your phone but you don't need the sis file after that).
And it doesn't matter if edoom is installed on the same media(duo or internal) as the wads. I don't even think it matters if the two wads are on the same media.
What matters is that they are not faulted like mine was.
Download the shareware of doom(or give me your email address and I'll send all the wads to you)

? Of course you need the SIS file, how else would you launch Doom? And I do believe that you need the SIS file and both the wad's to be on the same hard disk.

1. Make sure you installed edoom.sis
2. This will create a folder called "DOOM" under your documents (phone or memstick).
3. Place both WAD files there (doom1.wad, doom3.wad) |
