Well i removed the orange logo with a mild bleach (used in the removal of tinted lenses eg. sunglasses) and it worked like a wonder was not abbrasive so no marks left (phewwwwww thank god). also removed the start up and shut down logo's looks so much better but to add to it i put the final touch i unlocked it from orange( took 30 seconds if not less )

So has anyone in the UK had their Orange phone
unlocked and if so where ?

And no, I do not need/want to change the IMEI.

nail varnish works fine

safe, all trace gone, etc

just take your time, it msy need a little help with your nail after a few minutes of rubbing (with cotton wool)

took me 10-15 minutes being overly cautious

DO NOT GET NAIL VARNISH REMOVER NEAR THE SCREEEN better to..........

take the cover off when removing logo and keep one cover with logo on in case you need to send phone back

go to http://noirgroup.hypermart.net/p800a.htm for excellent demo on removing cover

the p800 looks *much* better without the logo (I have nothing against Orange)

how did you unlock it in 30 secs?

Ok you will require the following i.e T28 Data cable, SE Logger (available @ http://www.logosunlimited.co.uk/unlocking_ericsson.htm)
and WIN 98 follow the simple instructions on the site and Hey Presto ITS UNLOCKED was as simple as 1-2-3. If i am not mistaken it cost £10 so if you dont fancy sending your phone off do it yourself........

I will say one thing though I have a rough idea how the systems generates the codes its based in the IMEI AND SPLIT INTO 3 GROUPS of numbers eg 12345/678912/345678 now i managed to see a sequence in this from the number that was generated to unlock the code it involved alot of addition and subtaction to the IMEI but all in sequence very difficult to explain but i am sure someone out there can help please private msg me.
