I read somewhere, cant remember if it was here at Esato or somewhere else (i have done some searching here on Esato). What i read was that someone had set up his phone T68 or P800 so that he/she connected via Bluetooth to his homecomputer (connected to the Internet) and from that got out on the Internet and surfed thru the computer as a "gateway". He used the browser webviewer, it was not the built in browser.
Please anyone link to the post or tell us how to do that on a P800 connected via Bluetooth.

I want to from my P800 connect via Bluetooth to my Homecomputer (connected to the Internet) and surf thru BT waves, not via wap or GPRS.

Hi, well if you want to do that, u have to make sure that ur gsm provider has enabled the use of gsm devices as modems. Of course u can use ur fone with a BT conenction to surf then net...u wont be payign for data but u will be using minutes. u must dowload the right drivers to your computer to be able to use ur fone as a modem. so it can dial the ISP and then sends your user name and password... i dont know what fone u are using but in case u are using a t68i , go here and dowloand the drivers to make ur fone a modem: http://www.sonyericsson.com/us/spg.jsp?page=start
then click on GLOBAL SUPPORT, then click on the link : Drivers, scripts and patches there u would be able to download what u need...good luck...
if u are an ATT customer(USA), give up, cause atyt has desabled that feature

When I get my P800 I would like to try this but if you are connecting via bluetooth shouldn't that mean you will only be able to use the free internet on the P800 while standing within 10m of your comp?
Also, how can I get my pc bluetooth compatible?

i'm surfing the net for free. no bluetooth, no cradle, no IR. just pure P800+GPRS+Opera.
