virawan: Yes, it comes with the built-in camera. Capture result is really fantastic becoz the screen resolution of the PDA is fab! It's sooo much nicer compared to MCA25 (when both uploaded to PC). Picts taken with 640x480 (both palm & mca25), palm is so much better whilst mca25 a bit blur when taking bigger picts. Build-in mem 16mb, & yes expandable (need to expand becoz can listen to mp3). SD & MMC~

Hi guys, I'm new here and new to Sony Ericsson, just got myself a T310. I seem to have trouble getting it to send & retrieve e-mail. I used the SE website e-mail configurator to send me a config. But it doesn't seems to work. I've checked the settings individually on the phone it seems to be ok. Where have I gone wrong? I'm using Maxis with GPRS enabled and my e-mail account is Maxis Net too.
When I select 'Send & receive' it will go:
Finding Server... Connecting... then Finding Server again and then finally Server Not Found. |

scrreech, u lucky fella get to purchase the palm zire71!
haha..me been playing with the display set only, no dough to buy it yet, but dun worry , the price wont drop too much as the margin for the palm zire and zire 71 is small, unlike other palm PDAs
anyway i sold my palm m130 at around RM450 only, very cheap coz everyone is selling their palm m505 and palm m515 at around rm600, cant sell much
2shy, welcome onboard! Anyway u sure u filled the incoming server , port and the outgoing server/port correctly for maxisnet? For me checking thru my jaring email is ok from there but for maxisnet/yahoo mail/hotmail i just dun seem to know what to fill in the incoming server and outgoing server

Basically it's the same for the info that u input into your PC's e-mail client
like Maxis the incoming mail server is pop.maxis.net.my and the outgoing is smtp.maxis.net.my
Yahoo doesn't allow you to download your mail unless you want to pay for thier yahoo pop3 account version
i'm just seeing whether anybody actually uses t300/310 and maxis net to check where have i gone wrong |

ooh... finally some1 else using maxis net
but i use t68i, well more or less the same
the problem wif ericsson phones is that it doesnt recognise server names, u must input the server ip address
connect using: maxis gprs
protocol: pop3
inc. server: 202.75.130.41
incoming port: 110
mailbox: [maxis net account user name]
password: [maxis net account password]
outgoing server: 202.75.130.50
outgoing port: 25
email address: [maxis net account user name]@maxis.net.my
the rest is up to your discretion
maxis gprs settings (if necessary)
apn: net
user id: maxis
password: wap

!!! Thanks mate... Works like a charm now... really needed it to send photos taken from the phone to my PC. Just to see how good is the camera.
Wondering... if SE phones don't recognize server names, why'd the configurator send that to me in the first place??? |
