The very first phone that i got was a 3210 4 yrs ago, then a 5210, then an 8310, then 6100, then a 7650, obviously i used to be a nokia fan too. But a month ago i just got myself a T610, all of a sudden i fell in love with it, and with sony ericsson as well. Its really hard to describe, all of a sudden you are not just one of the rest (almost everyone uses a nokia from househelps to vips). It makes us feel proud of what we got bec we know for a fact that the model will reign for months or even years like the classic T68, unlike with nokia you purchase it very expensive now (being their latest model) then after 2-3 months your phone model will be considered NOT the "in model" anymore therefore the re-sale value drops drastically. WHY??? because nokia keeps on coming up with newer models very so so often. Not giving enough time for the previous model to make its mark first, therefore i personally feel that nokia is taking advantage of the present clamor for mobile phones. Of course, these are just my own personal views.

Dude i've had my share of nokia's 10xx, 3110, 3210, 3330...
Good for phoning and texting.. can't do anything beyond that... Those who complain about hissing noise know not only that the SE t610 has it some nokia's have it to...
The 3330 was slower than my t68i in typing text... Basically nokia took the 3310 and crammed wap inside, creating a slow as molasses OS for this model.. Plus they would crash, cost a fortune, and couldn't do jack shit other than call and write messages...
So if that is what you want then that's fine the t300 is not for you... If you want more than phoneing and texting out of a phone then a Sony Ericsson is for you ! |

The thing which i don't like about nokia is the fact that although they do have a fantasic interface, they are all pretty bog standard unless you are willing to spend a couple of hundred pounds.
I don't like the stranglehold which they have had on the mobile phone market for the past few years, if you look for a game, or a ringtone...it's for...nokia.
Having said that, I have owned a few in my time, and none of them have been as poor as a motorola (please read stone age brick with longevity of a mayfly) |

I've had quite a few nokia's in my time (3310,3330e, 5510, 8810, 7650) ALL had the same 3 problems...
Totally useless software. (Symbian is fantastic, the 'tweaks' that nokia enforce are ridiculous!)
Power drainage deteriating too quick over too short time.
Non-existant aftersales support.
I've got nothing but praise for SE for it's product, and after sales.
I'm not saying Nokia are crap, but they sure have a long way to go to gain reputation again. |

I cannot stand the bad audioquality in Nokias! Often walkie-talkie-toys show better acoustic. Nokias often loose words, othertime the voice is trembling!

I'm sorry guys I was angry at RaRe not you.......I just examined a T610 and it kicks ass not like the coffin shaped t300.....but i will keep my nokia for a while cuz I don't have enough money to buy the T610!!!
You are absolutely right about that new model sh.t!!!it sucks!!look when I bought 6610 2-3 months ago it was among the best phones of nokia..but now??that stupid n-gage thing and new models are on the market !!!! I think you're right se is better!!!!!!!!! |
