I first access the forum via wap and couldn't follow the link. I was so curios that I decided to turn on my PC. Damn! The little brick is torched. For us non-Norwegian speakers - how did it happen? |

It was Nokia 3310
The phone suddenly turned off. When she turned it back on it got warmer and warmer until it suddenly shot out of her hand blasting flames, and fell on the floor burning
They claim that the battery in the phone was the original Nokia battery

That also happened in Belgium....
It happens when you do not put in a Battery of Nokia themselves....
for example your 3310 Battery gets empty (which it does) you don't want to buy a real one but instead a fake one which fits and does suplie your phone from electricity. But it will go wrong Nokia has confirmed that it was possible the battery explodes... Nokia says only use original Nokia Batteries. |

In this case they claim the battery was original

Sure, and HP say only to use official carts.
Actually, they might just have a point. |

it has happened to a friend of mine as well... her 3310 got warmer and it would probably had melted/exploded if she hadn't removed the battery, the battery was original and the phone had not been exposed to liquid of any kind (I examined it afterwards )... maybe it's time for Nokia to bury that old 3310 |

ANYTHING could explode in THOSE huge hands, my mother warned me about meeting girls with suspiciously large hands. |
