looks good. what o/s are you planning to use for this? if windows xp, add 128 mb more for best performance (i'm not saying it won't work now with 128 mb)

What is it like for upgrading laptops? I've heard their a pain? What do the graphics look like on it?
As a comparison - a high demanding PC game like Quake, or Unreal - would these run smoothly and decently (in terms of graphics) ok on the laptop?

and oh, dont get confused with the appearance. the manufacturer doesnt call it a laptop, it's a desknote.
the video gaming performance for portables arent comparable to their desktop brethens - too many limitations. at best, decent performance for demanding games.
if you want a PC for gaming, it defintely has to be a desktop. |

Ok, fair enough bout the comparision.
So this 'Desknote'/Laptop business - it looks small, also the dimensions/weight look reasonable. What's the deal with that?
I actually will be wanting to use the laptop for on-the-road audio editing. (I work at a radio station).

and here is another review.
the desknote doesn't have an internal battery (an external battery is an optional accessory), in case you haven't found out yet.

more memory is always better and xp has a bigger footprint than win 98. i would not suggest using windows me (problematic, unstable). |

Oooh just noticed.
Being a desknote, the i-Buddie XP includes no battery. As we mentioned in our i-Buddie 4 review, this has its up sides and its down sides but it boils down to the fact that the i-Buddie XP can only be used when tethered to a wall.

That's pants. You cant even take it out and about. Right. I'm very glad i've asked u lot. Not going to buy it now! I just assumed it was portable.
