The vibration on my T68i doesn't work |

I just bought a SE T68i, but my vibration doesn't work most of the times. I went to a SE service point, but they didn't know how to open a t68i and I also don't want to send it to SE. (b.t.w. I have FW R2B)
Can anybody help me?? Thanxx |

Have you tried checking the profile you're using has vibration switched on? Also vibration will not work when charging although I don't think this would be your problem. I would try checking the profile first.

This is how you open a T68:

Either do it yourself or give this address to the service-point guys, it's probably just the vibrator that has jumped out of position... |

I'd personally give it to the SP as opening it yourself would invalidate your warranty. Totonox's instructions are good however - but me I'd leave it to the professionals! Let me know how you get on!

Before even opening your t68, just make sure that you were not charging your phone when you tested the vibrate function. For some reason, the vibrator really does not work when the charger is connected to the phone.
Disconnect the charger from the phone and vibrate function would be normal. If it doesn't, then I suggest you bring it to SE for repair or replacement. |

Yes as I had already mentioned although if he's taken it to the sc I doubt that this will be problem? You can never tell though

Thanks, but I have already checked my profile and vibration is always on.
When I go to the vibration service-test, sometimes my vibration works 1 time, sometimes 3 times and sometimes it doesn't work at all. But when it works, it works very softly. I think I have to go to a GOOD SE service point, the others seem to be amateurs (or how do you write that in English?)
There is also dust under my display. Maybe they can clean that also.
Anyway, thanxx! |

The reason why the vibrator doesn't work on S///E phones when the phone is being charged should be obvious to everyone.
If you happen to be using a desktop charger (and not a travelcharger) the phone might come off the hook on the desktop charger if the vibrator worked, possible hit the floor and damage the phone.

Vibration also doesn't work when it's not on the charger. Like I said above: when I do a vibration service-test, sometimes vibration works 1, 2 or 3 times or it doesn't work at all. And when it works, it works very softly.
So I think the vibration motor is "flying" through the phone. |

I'm sure they will if you ask them to - they did for me! Good luck in getting the vibration sorted!

I had to drive a few km for a good Service point, but it was worth it.
They placed a new vibra motor in my T68i and now vibration works very good and always.
Thanks!
