Official confirmation of the T68m-T68i upgrade |

I have just been informed that the software enhancement for T68 has been made globally available today. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to yourself.
This general release is available to all Sony Ericsson Service Centres. Should you require the details of the nearest location to yourself please contact our Customer Support Department on 08705237237 (Option 1)
I must make you aware of the following information and requirements.
Before the conversion we recommend that you do the following;
1. Synchronize your calendar with your PC
2. Copy phone numbers to the SIM card
1This is what you loose
Youwill loose the following information held in the phone:
* Phonebook
* Calendar
* Own edited/downloaded background pictures
* Own edited/downloaded ring signals
* Own edited EMS pictures
* VoiceMemos
* Voice tags
* Saved CB (Cell Broadcast messages)
* SMS templates
* SyncML settings
* Own defined shortcuts in the menu
* High scores to the games
* Tetris
* WAP Settings
2 This is what you get
You will get the following functionality in the phone:
* MMS
* Picture Album (My pictures)
* Sound Browser (List of sounds stored in the phone, i.e. eMelodies, iMelodies and AMR files)
* Picture CLI (Possible to associate a picture with a contact and display the picture upon incoming call)
* Camera application with support for the Communicam MCA20 camera accessory
* New games
* Notes
* Screensaver
* New and more advanced ring melody composer
* Text formatted SMS (Possible to add e.g. bold and italic text)
* Customizable contacts (possible to select which information to see in a contact)
* FirstName - LastName concept discarded. Only one name in phonebook in Mia R2.
* SMS chat
* GPRS (p-channels)
* JPEG support
* Animated GIF support
Having visited the Non Sony Ericsson web site you advise, I can see that Mr **** has his handset away for upgrade. I cannot, however, see that he has received it back complete. As the software has now been released, he like yourself, will receive a launched software upgrade. The same rule apply for all in relation to general release products and software.

Do we get same as T68i?
Couse SonyEricsson says diffrent everytime I call them, some says it will get like 300h, some says we gets 390 like T68i,

Yeap it is true...I just gave Ericsson UK a call myself and the confirmed that it is officially out. But for some stupid reason the service centre here in Newcastle does not have it yet...
Thank god it is out because I was getting tired of all these posts about this upgrade...

So ive have also spoken to SE its out but no one has it if anyone in london or the Oxford and swindon area no where please post the centres i have run out of people to call even CPW customer care said not until end of the month some one must know

Barky as I understand it, CPW will only start doing it when their technicians have had some practise (told to me by a CPW manager) you will do better to keep trying official SE service centres.
@cabamaru, which service centre in Newcastle have you tried. |

Yeah i know the one they gave me in Barnet Intech something or other said they are not allowed to do it even though they were the first on the list that SE gave me any one want to make any sense from them the number is 02082163896

I just spoke with the SE Swedish support center. They said the upgrade wasn't out, that it wouldn't be out until the 29th earliest, and that the upgrade server was closed right now!?

According to a SP who talked to SE today the software is out. However Ericsson has had problems with their servers and have closed the upgrade servers until the 29th.

celestica have the upgrade its the real deal Barky Is A Happy Puppy and now the cats have to give me bark the £100 pounds they each one last week
