From time to time,i have this problem:i get this message whether i an on yahoo messenger,or browse Esato. For example on Esato i usually get this message after i browse seven pages or ten and i hit 'next'. It happened too just a few mins ago while chatting on yahoo and i hit the 'check new messages'! So i don't download anything just hit a link! I have the same prob when the e-uploader doesnt work and i try to retrieve the file i sent.Does any1 knows if it's a connection was problem or a software problem?

EDIT: If i am chatting on yahoo and i get this, i have to exit wap cuz no link would work. Sometimes, the "menu" link works and i guess it has something to do with refreshing information (i.e: incoming messages, ppl coming online at that moment); "log out" works too cuz it has nothing to refresh! I just realised this. On Esato, usually the link "next" gives me the refusal mesage...also a thing that has to do with refreshing. I don't think the GPRS signal cuts out cuz i have it there, all the time blue.I don't have another mobile at the moment compare it to. Any1?

From my wapsite experiences (ie,wap41) that tells me that the server is down,so the site is working (ie,tagtag) but the file on you wanna dl is not,but i dunno whats happening if your just browsing esato, etc.
It may be a gprs issue at a guess, whats your sw version?
If nobody wants it.. put it on eBay.

I've had this happen from time to time when browsing Esato wml or xhtml pages. Usually turned out to be some small problem like an unsupported item in the page it was trying to open (currency signs and such) but it can be any number of things.

If somebody posts a new thread with an unsupported item in the title, it will result in the whole forum home page of esato not loading (nice that! )

701, I think I know what may be wrong - it's the damn Orange GPRS service. For example this is what happens to me while on Esato WAP 2.0: no links and shortcuts work. I have to exit WAP and turn off my phone. When I do that it either freezes and I have to take out the battery or it displays 'GPRS request rejected'. It's all Orange's fault, trust me. Try it with a Connex/Vodafone SIM and you'll see there are no more troubles for you.

@701

Got your PM mate, I think it's down to Orange too. I often get similar messages after several pages of surfing, particularly if I'm using my own webspace to transfer files from the PC to the Phone. I know that my MIME types are OK because if I exit WAP, then connect again, I can usually view my wap pages and download files straight away.

Only other thing I can think of is that the wap browser itself is crashing, but we'd need more case studies in order to prove that one Anyone know how the T610's memory works with regards to wap browsing? Could it be down to lack of memory due to caching and such like?

@Cycovision: Yes, i've thought about the cache memory too.If it gets full, it might crash. And i've deleted the cookies too in case it might be from there.I have no expertise is such 'technical" atters but i know some1 who does...and i'll PM him right away:-)
Maybe he knows.

I had this problem once when trying to download themes and java programs from a webby. It turns out that the MIME types had not been setup on the website therefore my phone didnt know what to do with the files once it had downloaded them.

of course, MIME types bear no relevance at all to know proper wapsites such as Esato wap.

Regarding an download,u r right but this is not my case. Just happened again today on yahoo and the same thing but just once..then everything back to normal. It's just that the message is too general!

701 asked for my opinion on this issue can't give an definitive answer... but a guess is that the server as generated a page that can't be view on the T610, for example an error page of some sort.
But since you had R1L my suggestion is to have it upgraded.

I think the T610 cache is 500kb.

It like to re-boot on wap when It gets 'frazzled' or low memory.

Ive had error messages due to mime-type prob, which is; Item not supported cannot be downloaded. It just maybe the coding of the site at fault or the wap gateway parsering the content into an invalid format [addsig]
