In the latest edition of the swedish mobilemagazine they visited the design centre in Lund, Sweden. There they got to see the people that designed the T68, T610, T630 and so on, but most inportantly: they got to see Ken Yano, the man who designed the P900. First they asked him when he started designing the P900. The answer was, about a year ago. Then, after a while, they asked him what he was designing now, he then said happily: An advanced mobile. Then the boss of the design centre quickly replied: We are working on many new models, both simpler and more advanced, we always do.

If this is correct then we maybe can think that there will come a new smartphone out in the next year (maybe already after the summer) since he said that he started on the P900 about a year ago and it's out now. Then to the big question:
What will it look like and what will be in it?
Any suggestions?

Well I don't think it is any surprise that they are already working on a successor for the P900. and other manufacturers tend to update each model at least once a year, and as you mentioned, it can take a year to develop a new model.

There has been speculation of an updated P900 for release early next year, but I think that is highly unlikely. I expect the P1000 or whatever it will be called to come out just before Christmas next year.

Yes, I know there has been, but now it's as good as confirmed. And the question was more what it should include and most importantly, look like?
So again, anybody scetches would be wonderful...

I hope you don't get upset with me over this, but is there really a point to it?! I don't think we need yet another speculations thread. And further more it wouldn't be fair to Malinda whom we always scold for starting pointless threads.

@Judge
No, I don't get upset with you. Just tought it would be fun with some scetches of how the esato users would want the phone to look like. But if you don't want to keep the thread, just ignore it and let it fall in to the "back of the forum".

It's not that I don't like it, but I fear we might be getting false hopes again. Remember P900's megapixel camera? And that's just an example. I'm quite confident that the thread will be a success...

@uni: nice wap site, i think it should look like the futuristic model that i saw was going to represent the p900. The one with the keypad that was retractable.
