Hey,

I heard some time ago that you could surf with your P800 via your computer's internet connection, using Bluetooth. Thus you could spare your precious GPRS-money for when you're on the road.

Anyone know if this is possible on the T610? How do you configurate it in Windows XP?

I don't think you can, although it is possible to do with bluetooth, the t610 doesn't support network access. i think.

But why would you want to? the screen is so small you might as well use a proper computer!

Well, you know us. If it's possible, we wan't to be able to try it at least

If it's not, then too bad.

the mrouter application that manages the connection with the symbian based handsets is what allows this 'pass though' internet connection to work - so on the P800 and 7650/3650 it will work fine (although better behaved on the P800) - so unless someone builds a special application to manage this with the T610...

dubwireless : What is the real purpose of the mrouter software ?
I thought it was nokia specific ? Do the people who use the p800 to access the net via pc also use this soft ?

admp : mrouter won't connect the t610 so it seems difficult that your article works for this phone (although really interesting)

Spud_Nic : is this really relying on the LAN bluetooth profile to work ?

Not possible because T610 BT does not support client for Dial-up networking and Network Access.
