I know about the service menu and its contents, but what is the <**< menu and what is MNC?
On my Swedish T610 I get a menu titled 'Personalization' with items 'Net' and 'Part of net', each submenu titled 'MNC-length' with choice 'MNC2' and 'MNC3'.
Anyone knows about other service/technician menues?

MNC = Mobile Network Code
It's either a 2 or 3 digit code used to identify a given network within a country or region. It's a part of the IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber identity).
I don't think u can change it without a Network Control Key. |

Personalization is the menu used to lock and unlock your phone to a network. You need an NCK, NSCK, or SPCK (depending on what setting your changing) and you shouldn't faff about in there if you don't know the codes. BTW does anyone know what SP lock is (AKA GID 1 lock)? The option only shows up when my Virgin SIM is in not my Vodafone contract SIM.
