I am really annoyed.

Right I brought a SE T610 from a Phone4U shop in Croydon and it was a Vodaphone (now shall say make a good phone turn crapphone). Anyways brought it home and it had that hiss problem and found out that I could not delete some of the pictures and a few themes, not to mention 4 different ways to get into VLive.

Brought the phone back and originally I wanted to change the phone to a T-Mobile (thanx to u guys, for pointing out this phone has only a sticker at the bottom and a theme u can't delete, that’s reasonable unlike Vodaphone) But the sell rep was giving me ballshit. He kept on walking off and worrying about the customers walking through the door than me who at that time was a existing customer. So I thought sod it I want a refund I don't like this type of service. So I give him the stuff about u lose a 1/4 of memory on the Vodaphone ballshit stored on the phone. The guy could not understand the amount of memory each picture takes, each ringtone, each photo takes. Then he gave me a load of bullshit why I don't not want to delete the F1 car. Hang on I might not want to delete it now but when the mem gets low and I need space I want to delete crap I don't want.

So the guy left me there waiting for almost an hour and he almost won because he said that the O2 range was coming out Saturday. But I found out in the T-Mobile that the phone was fully customisable and did not have the hissing problem. (I need to check that again before buying the phone)

Once, more

The T-Mobile shop was selling the SE 610 for £39.99 on contract was 100 mins free calls and 100 free texts @ £26 p/m

Phone4u were selling Vodaphones for £100 on contract @ £36 p/m for the first and £23 p/m for 3 months then back up to £36 p/m.

The sales rep said I was getting a good deal LOL!!

Then the manager tried to win the argument saying that she knew computers and could not understand why I did not like the Vodaphone's version of the phone because of the amount of memory in it. Why can't they understand if they put so much shit on the phone how can u use the phone to its full potential. Also she tied to sell me the P800. Ok good phone but that amount of money on contract I can't justify.

So wasting my time coming out of work early and now I have to waste my time again tom to buy the SE T610 on T-Mobile.

Thanx, for this web site it has been most help. and thanx to the users. With your information I was able to prove the point

Ahh, the good old "I know about computers/electronics/ so I _must_ know what I am talking" to increase their credibility. Do they really think that makes a bit of difference?

Another thread berating them here

On a side note - I have heard that its possible for staff members to lose out on commision if you cancel and insurance policy if you call directly to the insurance company. If you cancel via your bank they don't lost the £50 commission. Not sure how true this is as I have not bought anything from them least of all insurance, but to lose £50 is a lot... and a nice way to get your own back.

Hi Guys!

As some of you may know i do work for phones4u and can only appologise for the shite service you receive, I know the store i used to work in (recently got promoted) we tried everything to help exisiting customers although this was difficult on saturdays.

There is a commision scheme in place for the staff which is why staff are so sales hungry, and if you have been in our stores are why we are asking "have you got a BT line?"

Again all i can say is that we are not all iggnorant twats hopefully some of us do actually help, All i can say is that for every unhappy customer i have had i can give you 20 happy ones!

Sorry for your troubles guys

It is not you that should appologise. I went in to the store the other day to see what is going on, and was made to feel very unwanted. The only way I got attention, was when I stood outside the store and started telling everyone who was going to come into the shop, that if they wanted to be taken for a fool swindled out of money treated like sXXt then this is the shop for you. It did not take long for the manager to come out and ask me to leave. I told him I would leave when my problems were sorted out, so he said he would call the police. I told that was fine because the police may find my contract interesting, as it is actualy a very incriminating piece of evidence. Only then did he agree that maybe things could have been handled better.

Funny u should say that because my last sentence I said to them was I have 14 days I in my rights and all I got from the manager (which was a lady btw) "oh don't go on the defensive" lol She stopped talking after that and just gave me my money back. But the other guy I was talking to I said that about 3 times nothing happened.

Also that sales rep I was talking to thought that the Vodashit stuff could be taken off but I said to him unless u Flash the Rom chip you are not going to get far. I think he was kinda amazed that I knew all this stuff.

I think I go back into the shop and piss them off and show them the phone I am going to get from T-Mobile and show them recept.

Lots of resellers are now doing all three '3' phones for free on the new Videotalk750 tariff (e.g. onestopphoneshop.com and mobileshop.com) and for £50 or less on the Videotalk500 tariff (£25/month).

These two new 3 tariffs (which became available today) are very good value but of course the '3' handsets are still rather pants so it may be worth waiting for the vastly superior Moto A835 which should be out fairly soon (I gather the A830 has actually been discontinued by '3' so resellers are just clearing stocks now). And of course the Z1010 shouldn't be too much further away either.
