The price could be even lower... After all, it's just a small flash light.. I think that it will be about 8-10£ |

Has the flash unit got its own power supply?
if not its gonna rapidly drain the p800 battery

nope, the flash does not have its own power supply.
It gets its power from the phone battery. I assume it will drain power, but i dont think u will be using the flash for every picture!

i guess you could always get an ir filter for the front of the light\\ flash and have 0 lux shooting mode.

the link in the first post states that this is infact a high intesity light, meaning that it does not 'flash' as such when u take a picture. It simply improves the lighting conditions when activated.... thats what i make of it anyways. |

I think the flashlight (if we ever get to see it) will be a very welcome addition to any P800 owner's set of tools. I don't think power consumption will be that high because you only need to attach it for a few seconds to shoot your picture then take it off again.

Its the T610's MPF-10 as described in this thread. However you can't use it as a flash on the P800 but it does have a torch mode with the light on constantly so that may be usable for the P800.
Here is the manual for the MFP-10.
