I know this is not what you wanted to hear but Phones4U are even worse than The Link. Although they are totally lacking in scruples, principles or any moral fibre whatsoever, they are not quite so ruthless in trying to take your money and run as those Caudwellian a**holes!
But, my friend, you needn't bother with your letter. They're about to get major come-uppance...
The Group is being investigated by industry regulators as part of a probe into the con that is their extended warranty.
Fear not, they shall be struck down!

Just do a search of www.thedvdforums.com for currys and dixons, there are loads of complaints and quite a few small claim court actions. |

The Link is shockingly bad. Their staff are the most untrained mobile phone users that I know of.
PCworld can also be included in that list since they are part of the same group. dont get me started on them though! |

Mr Mrs works for The Link, and it may sound like I'm just stickin up for her but I honestly believe that i've had the best service (even when i wasnt with her) from there. Phones4U, CPW, and the local independents have largely been shitty compared to The Link. PC World however is a whole different ball game!

BTW, all the shops have some staff that are just useless wastes of living matter, it's not just some stores that they're limited to! (I could indeed name many names in my area of useless inept phone shop staff)

how can you trust any mobile shop that claims to know the very best mobile for you, but doesn't sell phones from the biggest network in the country? like or loathe vodafone, a big chain like that should at least give you the option of choosing for yourself. |

I work for the Link, and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to mobile phones. I know some of my colleagues from other branches in the area know what they are talking about too.
Please try to avoid making sweeping general statements about everyone in the company just because you've had a bad experience yourself.
Believe me, the Link is better than most other retailers these days, as the amount of complaints I get from my customers about other main high street retailers would seem to suggest. |
