K800i Photoblog On Vodafone UK |

I'm having trouble getting the photoblog feature to work on my K800i. Basically, select the photo to blog, hit publish and get the message "Creating blog and publishing post" and watch the progress bar go all the way across where it pauses at the top for a while before coming back with the rather un-helpful message "Could not create and publish blog". Triad repeatedly since Friday night but to no avail.
I'm using my K800i on Vodafone UK (with Vodafones firmware installed) and wondered if any others are experiencing this issue or if another Vodafone subscriber could try it out on their phone and report back their results.
Many thanks in advance. |

Hi, I have a non-branded K800i on vodafone, and have had the same problem, but it works when I get a 3G signal, maybe that will work for you? |

Hmmmm....unfortunately the problem persists despite being connected via the 3G network.
Thanks for your prompt answer...any other posters out there can shed some more light on my issue? |

Vodafone branded, worked straight away (created the blog, sent me a text with the blog info and posted the picture) and has posted pictures fine to it a number of times since.
Sorry I can't shed anymore light on it. |

Hey, finally got it to work BUT think I might have found a "bug".
Basically, if I view a single picture full screen and then choose the options MORE>SEND>TO BLOG and then PUBLISH from there it always fails. However, if I just highlight a picture within the multi-picture viewer (the one showing all of your photos) and then choose the options MORE>SEND>TO BLOG and then publish, it works every time.
Is this "bug" unique to me or more widespread?

Is there a bugs thread for this info? It would be helpful to have it all in the one place. |

Well I just clicked the LH Top Screen button to bring up a full screen picture. Clicked Send (not "More" as the Send options are on a the bottom softkey in landscape mode), added some text then clicked "Publish" and it worked fine...
Looks like it might be unique to you! |

Seems to be now working all hunky dory every which way I do it....not sure what the issue was but maybe switching the handset off and on overnight did the trick and rebooted the phones sotware correctly.
Another question - all the photos I upload appear on the blog shown in ladscape orientation even if I've taken the picture as a portrait (and rotated it the display correctly on the phones viewer) - is there any way (possibly one that I have missed) of ensuring all photos blogged display in the correct orientation on my blog site?
Cheers

Hi,
i too was having the same 'failed to publish' error - both gprs/3g networks with voda UK.
after weeks of talking with tech support (voda uk) - they tried new sim/reseting settings/flashing/no content restrictions; there tech team just told me that it isnt supported by the VodaUK network - they refunded me some gprs data onto my bill (for the 'failed' attempts)
bit of a powder keg this one - selling phones that 'charge' you for a serivce that doesnt work!
can anyone here confirm that it 'does' or 'doesnt' work with a pay monthly Vodafone UK contract?
