Ok that gave me a clue to the answer.
you can edit pictures that are of the screen resolution 120 x 160 which includes built-in and those taken at camera low res, but not those taken at the camera high resolution of 288 x 352.

That's right, you wont be able to edit the ones that you've taken using your T610. (Big Size) Every small images(dimension) found in my T610 can be edited. I suggest just upload your pictures to your pc then use Photoshop to edit. That way, you can play even more on the effects.Ü Cheers.

yeah I think the basic rule is that anything that fits into the native screen resolution of 120 by 160 can be edited because you are edit pixels and to do anything larger would require the screen to pan sideways and up and down though why they did not include that I don't know.

Yer, i dont know why they didnt include that because u do have to pan up and down slightly when editing a 120x160 picture.
Suppose their would b 2 much panning on a larger 1? |

standard (screen) resolution at 120*160 = 19200 pixels whereas max cam resolution is 288*352 = 101376
This means if you edit the max size on the screen you would only see 19% of the whole picture at any time which might be a little hard to keep the context of the whole picture in mind while editing that portion.
Much easier to send the pic to a pc for editing in that case.
