it got 2 type of cable for ericsson T28,29,39.........
1) Service cable
2) Data cable

service cable use for programming/flash/unlock phone but not use to transfer data between phone and pc. if u cant get ur cable work,i think maybe u get a service cable. heres the way to modify a service cable to data cable.

11 || | |||||||| 1 <-----Pin layout

How to modify :

1) Open the connector(cable) you have bought

2) what u see is pin 1 to pin 8 are grouped , pin 9 is single and pin 10 and 11 are paired.

3) now check your connector wheather they are 4 wire that connected to pin 6,7,9,10 and 11.The connection between 9 and 11 is what thats make it as a service cable. If it is ,that prove u have bought a service cable.(if not, i think u have bought a faultly cable)

4) break the connection betwwen pin 9 and 11 cafully.

5) now move the connecter from pin 6 to pin 4 and pin 7 onto pin5 then youre done.

Hope you guys success.(work at your Own risk)

Hello Nickgoh!

Thanks a lot for that post and I was able to make a generic T28 data cable work for those ericsson programs. The data cable I bought was actually a test/flash cable and thanks to you and with transferring 2 wires and cutting a jumper it worked flawlessly yahoooooooo!

Btw was able to get some more data regarding that convertion at
http://xentrax.narod.ru/eng/320pinouts.html

Unfortunately read your post too late cause i already had bought an original DRS-10 cable but no problem, I can still use the generic on my laptop whenever I'm on field.

Thanks again

I posted this in another forum

I purchased this HBH-10 Bluetooth Handfree sometime ago, it comes with a DBA-10 Bluetooth phone adapter. This adapter was used together with my old T28 Phone (Attached directly to T28). Since I bought my new T68m, DBA-10 has become obsolete.

I'm not sure you guys can help me to configure a cable to connect my DBA-10 to a notebook USB 0r Com port. Instead of paying big bucks on a new Bluetooth PC Card or USD Bluetooth device, I could utilise this left over product for something useful.

Also, I need to find out is there any Driver available?

Thanks in advance

But I have a R5A firmware, and the Mobile Phone Monitor is at R4A version, maybe I have to wait for the R5A software version?

I currently have t68mc with R1B software, I'm probably going to upgrade it using ericsclient. But i want to backup all the phonebook, messages, pictures first. My question is, after i convert the t28 service cable to data cable and backup all the stuffs, is it possible to convert back to service cable so i can flash my phone? and will the backup softwares work with my phone (R1B software)
Service cable for t28 is quite cheap here, i could get it for around US$5

thanks
