For those who wonders... it's released for all language versions (including branded versions), but as always, your local service point might not have it yet, so either call them, or wait a couple of days before going there.

Since there's a big jump from R2f to R5b, would that means there's a lot of improvement in the firmware for Z600 ?

Hmmm...
I just checked up one of the local Service Point to ask about the new Firmware release and I guess they haven't seen the z600 before.
He asked me if I was satisfied with it and what the differences between it and the T610 was and I had to show him the phone (he wanted to see how the pictures was and how it sounded with the second speaker)
And he said we can TRY upgrading your phone
I think I will look up another Service Point around or does someone have any other opinion? |

@SeiunUsagi
Just go to your service sentre and do the uppgrade, because everytime i come in to my local store the guy behind the desk use to ask me if there is a new firmware for the phone. if i say yez he use to conect to the server and download the firmware. The guyz that work on service sentres dont use to get the info about firmware. They only know how to download them to the phone and i dont think you should bother if he know a lots about phones or not cuz he dont need to.

I'm hoping to get the T610 and Z600 upgraded on 3rd Jan as I just haven't been near a service centre for a while, that is if they (Yendell) are going to open again on Saturdays otherwise I have to wait another 2 weeks.

caff,
i did and tested all the R5B language firmware. it have some problem with the mute function on ringing tone with closed.
normally we can mute the incoming ringtone when closed by pressing the volume button. but R5B seem to have problem of mute ringing tone when the ringtone rang for more than 5 sec. |
