Casio watch with digital camera |

There are Casio watches with built-in digital color camera and IR. Has anybody tried one? Which model? Can you directly transfer pictures from the watch to the T68i or is a computer needed? How do the pictures look on the T68i display? Since the CommuniCam hasn't been available in Switzerland for weeks, this would be an interesting option, since the picture quality of the CommuniCam isn't that good either. |

If you want to buy the watch, it's cool, everyone will look at it and go "WOW", but it's not very practical for "real" pictures.... I'll place some pics on here in a few hours... But for pictures on the T68i, it's great! You do need to send the pics to the computer FIRST and then to the phone!

Here are the casio watchpics I promised....
Airplane I went to Afghanistan on...
Me and my friend
My girlfriend
Man from Afghanistan
Afghani lorry
Hope you enjoyed them and i hope it helps you to decide. I have both the wristwatch and the MCA-20, the watch is basically just to show off, the MCA-20 makes better pics, but is also really just to show off with... if you want high quality pics, buy a real camera!

Thanks a lot! On the display (transferred by IR) they really look nice. But the fact that you can't transfer them directly to the T68i forces me to buy the CommuniCam. I already have a nice little digital camera (minolta dimage X) with excellent image quality compared to the watch cam or the CommuniCam. However, I also need a computer to transfer the pics. Sony Ericsson should produce a memory card reader for the T68i real fast. |

You can use the watch to send picture email attachments directly thru your T68m without transferring the photos to a computer. This has been posted many months earlier in this forum. Maybe it will work better with T68i. I think only the Casio watch models that has color image when transferred to computer ( although some may show b/w on the watch), are supporting IR-Tran-P and hence are compatible with T68. |

I've tried every way possible and cannot send any pics to my T68i without the programme on the computer.... My watch has colour data..... I'm sure that you are mistaken, if you believe it is still possible, then please enlighten me....
@spanker: I was there on the 18th of June, 2002. Life is pretty much the same as the photo, boring, no shops, all men touching eachother up, BLOODY hot, crap food, smily people, .... not dangerous at all, cos most of the people I mixed with were US Army zitty soldiers...

There is an Infra Red port on the watch and I just install the program on my computer and then send everything from the watch to the computer....and then to my T68 |

To Arroyootje:
I have sent email using T68 with picture attachments from Casio before, but I sold the watch later because it's difficult to see the time when you're in the dark (watch has no backlight). I am not sure if it will work with T68i, but you can try the following:
1. Open the email client of T68i
2. Compose an email (try to be brief as possible) then click "Continue?"
3. Choose the option "Send w. attach"
4. A prompt "Start sending from Camera" will appear at the same time the IR port of the phone will be activated.
5. Send the file from your watch using IR as you would send to a pc.

@Josch:
I think the P800 is of course better, but it's not really a GSM, it's too big. I think the T68i is better as a PHONE. It's compact, it has most of the functions you'll use and unless you're a business man, you're not really going to be writing Word and Excell documents on a P800, are you?
I think I'll stick with the T68i, but who knows, maybe when I see it, I'll change my mind...
