MP3 player track listings |

I've got the MP3 player for my T39, and it works great except for 1 thing... it seems to assign the track numbers to the tracks in a random fashion. I encode all tracks with the trach number at the start of the name (i.e. "01-Lovely Head-Goldfrappe"), but it then assigns a track number that doesn't seem to relate to the name at all. This isn't a problem for most albums, but gets annoying when I listen to an album where the tracks are mixed together. If I wanted to listen like this, I'd choose random play!
I've tried to copy the tracks to the MMC in a different order, and changing the track names, but this hasn't made a difference. I'm using Win98 with a 32mb card and the original card drive. Any suggestions would be great! |

i find that it orders them by which order they r copied to the card.
Try wiping the card and putting them on in the order u want, should work |

Found out how you get track listing in order (it's a problem with Windows, not the MP3 player).
[1] Order your tracks by number (1-..., 2-... etc.) in Windows Explorer
[2] Highlight the top one, hold Shift down and highlight the bottom one
[3] THIS IS IMPORTANT: you MUST click on the topmost file, hold it down, then drag across to your card reader.
If you don't click the TOP track before drag 'n' dropping, Windows will copy them across in a different order.
Works every time. |
