Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has checked out the press release for the SE Bluetooth HBH-200 Wireless Handsfree that`ll be coming out in shops in Q4 2003. Here`s the URL:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?page=gis&Redir=page%3DC2_1_77%26B%3Die
The picture can be downloaded from:

Here is a description of some of the features from SE Press Release:
The HBH-200 consists of a small control unit which can be clipped onto the users¡¦ clothes or worn in a lanyard around the neck. The small earpiece connects to the unit with a thin wire which also hosts the microphone. With this solution users can have a light earpiece and still enjoy wireless handsfree functionality.
The display on the control unit lights up when call comes in and shows the name or number of the caller and can also show the call list, which is synchronized with the telephone. This makes it easy to call any number on the call list by a few button presses on the HBH-200. Calls can also be made by using voice control; most calls can be made while the phone remains in a pocket, bag or suitcase. The HBH-200 can generate ring signals both from the control unit and in the earpiece, so there is no risk of missing a call if the phone is tucked away.
HBH-200 has been equipped with the Bluetooth Headset and Handsfree profiles, and therefore can be used with a majority of the Bluetooth enabled phones on the market. The HBH-200 has talk time up to 3.5 hours and standby time up to 70 hours and weighs only 33 grams.

Does anyone know the release dates for HBH-200 in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and UK ? And how much it might cost in terms of the country`s currency? This wireless handsfree is very nice and the clip looks like a small MP3 player. Any other news that the members here can provide. Cheers!

Fantastic, just what ive been waiting for. I am now using T610 with the HBH 35 they both work fine together & i please how clear the sound is & bat life on the HBH 35 is great. I normally leave the phone in the car holder and have the HBH 35 in my pocket and clip it on me ear when the phone rings (cause ya look like a failed pop idol dick if ya leave it clipped on ya ear all the time) ive missed a few calls cause ive had an engine running and not been able to here the phone ring. With this new HBH 200 it says
"The HBH-200 can generate ring signals both from the control unit and in the earpiece, so there is no risk of missing a call if the phone is tucked away"
just what ive been waiting for, it wont look to bad leaving it in ya ear

I'm also quite surprised and pleased that SE took the trouble to design a second "wired" bluetooth headset. I've been using my HBH-20 for over 2,5 years now and I'm absolutely going to upgrade to the HBH-200.

yeah I seem to miss the point of wired bluetooth headsets and it goes to show, I guess, that they were not too popular when you can now get the previous model, the HBH-20, for just over £31 from places like Expansys

the Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-200 liftime sucks, i bought it the day it came out in sweden, i used it for 3weeks after that i decided to return it. First of all the purpose of a Handsfree headset that uses bluetooth tech is to have it wireless or am i wrong?
Ok sure its cool to see when someone calls you and it rings, no way to miss a call but damn its annoying with the wire to your ear.
last but not least the Lifetime sucks you say 3.5h i say 45min. I drive alot 8h per day and i can tell you this. i had to reload it 2 times a day, now your, thinking the dude didnt load it correctly the first time, trust me i did AND i also got it changed so i tried the new one and that sucked to, same crap headset....
i bought the HBH-35 but that one was dead so i returned it and they had the 200 so i bought that instead and it really sucked wasnt that much of a "handsfree bluetooth headset"
i say no to HBH-200 |

the point could be that people with glasses can't wear normal bluetooth headsets?

i just received mine today. tested it out a bit and i seem to like it so far. i liked the hbh 200 because of the earbud. it's not as obvious as some of the other wireless headsets.
Aqu4rius, yes, the number and name show up.
i bought the hbh 65 a couple weeks ago, but changed my mine because it looks so bulky for my ear. i don't think i can stand having something big hanging on my ear.
