T68i on Cingular in SoCal |

I purchased an unlocked t68i on ebay a couple of days ago and have been trying to get the GPRS internet to work. I called customer care, went into a cingular store and no one could help me.
Then I went into the store that I bought my original Cingular phone from and the guys there were SO HELPFUL. They really wanted my internet to work, it was great. BTW the store was at Irvine Spectrum. I was there for a good part of the day and they were able to get the regular WAP internet working but they just couldn't seem to get the GPRS working.
If *ANYONE* has managed to get the GPRS Internet Express working on an unlocked t68i could you PLEASE email me and inform me of the exact settings? I am registered with Cingular as a developer and have the GPRS settings but they are not working.
Any help would be appreaciated, if this does not work then I may switch providers (because AT&T, although not so good coverage area, is offering MMS and I have used it and it's great!)
Thanks

hey i have cingular in southern california (irvine area to be exact). im getting my t68i (unlocked from at&t service) on monday and i was wondering if there's a special service from cingular or a certain plan that you have to be on in order to use their WAP services. if not, how do they charge? |

dctim211, welcome to Esato
Call 611 and make sure you are signed up for GPRS (Cingular EXPRESS) - $6.99/month for 1MB.

So what happens if you sign up for express (6.99/mo) as oppposed to the other (3.99/mo)? |

| What you need to do is first go to wap services go to Advanced select Clear Cache and yes you do want to clear them, then turn your phone off then back on! Then go to connect and select Data comm then select data acc then choose express! After that go to wap services select profile select express then go up to the first option in wap services and connect! Don't call me a genius or nothing but I bet your Gprs will work after you do these steps!
