First things first. I use orange GPRS and have no problems downloading files larger than 3KB. When I first tried downloading stuff back at the end of July, there was a 3KB limit on the orange WAP gateway, but since they have launched their MMS service, the limit had to be lifted, so now there shouldn't be any problems. I'm not sure what the limit is now, but it's still not as good as having the Halebop WAP gateway configured to your phone. The Halebop gateway allows downloads of just over 30KB.

I've read all your other posts but I still can't understand why it won't work for you.

I know these things sound obvious and you may have tried them before, but you haven't really given us that much info about the problem. So, I take it you've tried this:

WAP Services>
Options>
WAP profiles>
Add profile?>
Call it Halebop>
Connect using> (choose the data account you use to connect to WAP)
IP address 194.237.106.73
WAP Services>
Select profile> (select Halebop) This may be the part you missed out before with the settings.
Begin using WAP

Also (obvious again) have you actually subcribed to an orange GPRS Bundle? Because MMS uses GPRS to send and receive, all T68i's will show the little blue triangle in the corner of the screen regardless of whether or not you subcribe to a Bundle.

BTW the orange gateway IP address should be: 192.168.071.035

I know you said that you called orange before, but if you're still having problems, you should call 156 from your phone to get straight through to wirefree/data services.

Or you could try talking to orangeman, here at Esato. He works for orange and helped me before.

I know I've covered obvious stuff, but if you have it set up correctly there really shouldn't be any problems.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

the Halebop IP (194.237.106.73) has not been working for me for days now. Someone in the group suggested another IP which works for me so far. Try 193.95.167.178

Create a new WAP profile with this IP and give it a try.

If you are still having trouble downloading anything over 3k with Orange try this:

Goto Wap > Options > Wap Profiles > [Current Profile] > Edit
Then change the Data Mode to 'Conn oriented'

I don't know why but it worked for me on both dialup and gprs.

Let me know how you get on!
