hiya guys...this works...u can send pictures with it from your t68i pictures...it really works!!!!!! note that genie doesnt support using another SMTP SERVER on its service (915000)
protocol= pop3
incoming server= 193.113.160.13
inc port=110
mailbox= ur full email addr e.g realz98@o2.co.uk, not just realz98
password= ur PW
outgoing server= 193.113.160.13
outg port= 25
email addr= ur email add eg realz98@o2.co.uk

a)theyve already bin posted in various formats b4 - use th search feat
b) ur point about o2 smtp is not 2 do wit o2 but the mail provider, ie if ur using blueyonder its them who do not allow u 2 use their smtp unless ur connected to them as ur isp
c) in the mailbox bit u dont need ur whole address just ur username
d) the mail settings are on the 02 website
e)uve posted it like a million time in random topics
i mean good job and the thoughts there but ya know postin it a million times wen its not 100% original and is ot 100% the only setting variation that will wrk is a little extreme

as Shibby mentions above Genie do support using another SMTP SERVER on its service (915000) so that part is incorrect.
I use my own ISP as well as Yahoo.co.uk's smtp settings through the 915000 dial-up with no problems. |

not tryin 2 get funny or nefing - but i only have me username wivout the @o2.co.uk bit n it wkrs fine
my only theory for this wrkin is that the mail client is aceesing in simlar way u do on the website, ie ya pop ya usrname n password in clcik email n its all there
so whether or not is shudnt wrk i dunno - but it does

what dial up settings are you using?
genie or o2 - that is the new or the old dial up, maybe it differs depending on which one your on.
also,
Shibby, i remember you mentioned you could get delivery reports on Genie/o2 but that only seemed to apply to pay monthly customers as the codes you said to try dont work when your sending free sms on payasugo accounts...but they do work when you've used the monthly quota and start paying for sms.

ooooh wasnt aware of that, far as i knew the code wrked for all o2/genie custs
the bit wrkin only on paid for txts i dont fink is right cos i get it everytime - so unless iz permanently over my limit then
ne o2 payg custs tried code ?!!?
it shud wrk on other networks 2 though !!

when i use *0# i get the dilervery reports no problem an i have a payg genie unlimited account

You cant karl. Not as yet anyway. And i dont mean to be dumb, but how the hell do you download attachments from an email? I only see a paper clip in the top of the screen and i cant find an option anywhere. Please help

as far as i know you cant download attachments in the T68i.

the code for delivery reports works now, didnt for a long time but it's finally working for me.
there was also a code available for one2one users where you could delay the sending of sms for howevermany hours you wished, anyone know any variations on this for a GSM standard.
*#dl 3# - would delay sending for 3 hours.
