Yes, k750 to w800 flashing can be done via the DaVinci site but you will have to pay for the firmware just using the usb cable that came with the phone. Read somewhere in the Esato forums. You have to be very careful and follow the procedure step-by-step or you might mess up the firmware which might end you up with a non-bootable phone.
Why would anyone want to flash his phone anyway when the K750i and W800 are identical? The only difference being the casing design, camera cover and the hi-fi stereo headphone and memory stick capacity.
You may void whatever warranty with SE for your K750i.

converting from k750i to w800i IS NOT YET possible with davinci..
go to SIGNAL telecom in greenhills for converting k750i to w800i.... they charge P1,200

Heard that the media player of the w800 is better
also saw a thread (not sure if it was here in esato) that showed a K750i flashed to W800i taking better pictures than a normal K750i.

just an update, there's already some silicon protector out for k750i in gh i think its 500(don't know if this update has been known already)

rockhound, sorry not to agree with you, but imaging can only be experienced with a 2-channel audiophile setup. so unless you connect the K750i/W800 to an audiophile grade system, can one tell so.

he probably means the only way we can really compare the music quality of the K750 with the W800 is to connect both phones to 2 identical and really awesome, tube-powered, very expensive, sound system and listen to them side-by side. additionally, maybe we also need an "audiophile's" ear like arnoldc's. hehehe
BTW some stores in GH already sell the W800

2) Added Offline mode
3) Shortcut key become Media Player
4) The media player shown as 'Walkman'
5) While playing mp3, the song name will be display on screen
6) Mp3 can be sort by singer, album, song name
The mp3 playback sound / photo shot quality is not different as K750

Just got a W800 in Greenhills for 24.5k its sweet. The reason I got it was because it's a perfect sync with my PSP. The head phones work well with the PSP's remote, the 512 MSD is obviously usable for both but... The orange and white casing don't match anyone interested in swapping the front and back casing of my W800 for a K750i? Or does anyone know where to get a replacement K750i casing?

Ibarra, i saw some k750/w800 housing in Games&Gadgets in Megamall (4/F bldg B). Each cost around P500. they're the "class A" variety though, so I'm not sure if it would fit as snugly as original SE casings. They're all K750 black, silver or dark blue faces & backs, haven't seen any w800 variants.
If you get one, let us know if the case fits well enough and operates the keys comfortably enough.

rey01, w800i is available in most stalls in greenhills for around P24.5K. I'm not sure if that price comes with the 1-year warranty though. better get one with warranty.
k750/w800 has option to shoot either 10-sec video (i guess it's for mms sending) or for you to set it at unlimited (this would pretty much depend on the available space on the memory stick you'll be using).
