I am applying for a job in marketing, and i am looking for any advice from people who work in the industry have to offer.
I am looking for words, statements etc etc to put in my cv and any advice people have to offer in the event of getting an interview.
Not things like smile, ice breaker etc etc but things that are specifically aimed towards marketing.
Thanks

I'm a graphic designer and deal with marketing people on a day-to-day basis.
A lot depends on what products/services you'll be responsible for marketing and to what level, and to whom.
Obviously having a very in-depth knowledge of the types of products/services you'll be marketing, and of the potential customers you'd be marketing them to would be a great start.
If you know what products/services the company you're applying to deals with, then do as much research as possible (on the web, of course) on those things.
Study the companies' own web-site and those of their competitors. There's bound to be some good info to be gained there, that will show the company initiative and an understanding of their products/services. The more relevant experience of the particular companies products/services you can show the better.
