I think it is almost complete, if you look at places such as New your, the detail is amazing, but where I livee it won't really show much of the streets

Posted by darksyde
i can actually see my street and my local chipshop!

Yeah, this softwares been out for ages, it used to be under the name and company 'Keyhole' I used it back in 2002 etc, and i found it amazing, since then the quality has become superb in places and better in others, google are really taking this project on and trying to make it huge, I find it great for directions. Enter two postcodes or places etc and it gives you step-by-step directions, great!

Plus the 3-D buildings are a huge improvement.

Anyway, toodle pip guys.

I was a bit off

Sorry but as this programe has to download huge amounts of data from the map source being on a dial will make viewing anything painstakingly slow

I loved that program, shame about the limited period. You can practical start from the distance from the moon and type in a destintation and you'll fall down to earth to that place.

also try http://maps.google.com/ maybe

if you get the free version its not a trial, so I geuss you have it for life (thought it will get outdate)
