Does anyone know you insert a newline into a composed message using T39's POP3 e-mail client message composer? I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I can only send e-mail messages that are one long text string.

Thanks,
Tim Henrion

if you press and hold the # key, a pop up window will appear for adding symbols.

there are two symbols here that you may want to use the new line key, and the new paragraph key. You will see these two symbols right before the smiley icons.

good pm! hows glorieta?

regarding on the email client on our T39m mobile phone, i think i have not used/scrutinize this thing since i bought the said unit.

under messages, then (3) E-mail, there are (1) send & receive, (2) inbox and so on.

do this things work? how? can i view my email account like yahoo in this format? cause usually when i go to yahoo, i go to wap services.

do globe support this kind of service?

if i press yes on "send and received" , the phone automatically dials +9172399

what on earth is this?

i will be needing some "enlightenment on this"

@the jackal
the T39 supports POP mail protocol, which is no longer supported by yahoo.com (different from yahoo.com.uk which still offers it, and some other non-US yahoo sites).

you need to have an account from email service providers which supports the POP protocol (try myrealbox.com (this is what i use) or hotpop.com (recommended by some here)).

for specific settings used by filipinos search for "Globe email setting" in this thread.

hope that helps (remember SEARCH is your bestfriend in ESATO)

@gowin,
The info you posted regarding the 2 symbols on the "add symbols" menu was very usefull. I did'nt know about that until you posted it here. Maybe I'm not really familiar with what all those other symbols mean... but really it was fun knowing it. I also found out that when writing an sms, you could access those 2 symbols by pressing the "#" button. Great!

the tip also applies to the T68 (am not sure with other phones, but it's possible that it works too)

FYI: the t68i has fewer smilies selection.

Gowin, what is the dialup # for my real box? I have been trying 4 so long and cannot find a solution. Do i also need a dns # to connect thru my phone- or can i use gprs? Thanks!

Myrealbox is not a local mail provider. You need internet access to send/receive your email from them. their servers are: pop.myrealbox.com, smtp.myrealbox.com, imap.myrealbox.com. if you intend to use it from your phone's email client, you got to use your SP's smtp server. Of course, you should have an account from myrealbox.com

Thanks GOwin! Now i have got 2 get rogers' smtp server on my account. Got real and setup myrinne but rogers' is holding of back. Does anyone know he FIDO allows email?

Hey GoWin,

I've dumped Rogers AT&T Wireless in favor of the underdog, no pun intended, FIDO! indeed a lot better service and customer care for any GPRS/GSM service provider.

I tried to access my realbox.com account via GPRS thru FIDO-yes this is possible boys & girls-but my settings when launched keep getting me a result of Server not found. I'm somewhat happy as before with Rogers on my T-39m, when I tried before the attempt would not only fail but also freeze my phone, ouch!

is there a gprs DNS# from Fido that I may be missing??
I'm using the wap.fido.ca APN, with ISDN on the T-39m using the IP address beginning with 205. I can wap but what really also sucks is that I cannot surf Esato.com past the wap homepage.......Ugggh this is mostly what I use WAP for, ESATO.com!!!!

Please help my the faithful one to esato, please!!!

Got it working, thanks to FIDO's network support member Mark in Montreal!!!!

I had been using the wap.fido.ca when I should've been using (first it had to be inabled on my cell account), internet.fido.ca along with using gprs.fido.ca as my smtp server name.

Voilą!
Now Myrealbox.com wireless email works on my T39m.

FIDO rules!
