@ author as far as i know there is just no mobile in this industry who offers the feature you yearn 4. Even my p910 and k508 doesnt offer them. This feature is though present in windows mobile devices>>sunny

@author,
I think you'll have to update your firmware, every SE phone has the power saving features like the faded light while making calls or in earlier models the light turn off (still the screen is on). There's no place to turn these options/features on/off as far as i know!

So update your firmware- you can search esato to get the latest version of fw and where to download them-

Enjoy.../

Must be a setting. auto, off or on.

updated to R1L and the problem still persists....is there a newer firmware? does anybody else with k 750 have this problem? the screen refuses to fade out..damn

Try in display/options...or there,somewhere

Are you in the Incar profile? It stays lit all the time then I think.

normaL PROFILE

try power save is set to auto, display clock or don't display clock (try both), look in display settings for posibilities.

I haven't played with a K750 other than to pick on up...so that's the best help I can offer

power save is only on and off for bluetooth

Posted by max_wedge
on my k700, powersave is a display thing, nothing to do with bluetooth as such. Powersave usually controls how long the light stays on before it fades etc....

Maybe the K750 is different? I would've thought powersave for bluetooth was simply turning bluetooth off

Even turning BT on, does not impact battery life, unless something is being transferred thru BT

Posted by Residentevil
Did you make any progress yet?

Posted by max_wedge
@mrao, that's probably true (although if turning on bluetooth activates the bluetooth radio it would atleast consume standby power, admitedly not that much power though), but what I was getting at was that the "powersave" function was not to do with bluetooth. If bluetooth is in use, it consumes full power, you can't "powersave" bluetooth other than by not using it.

no, i tried delting pics from caller profiles..een now its lit up... k 750 has no power save option..its always on..i mean power save...but apparently somebody forgot ot add..... that for the call screen..damn

SE helppppppppppp

Is'nt there an "Auto" backlight setting in the Display menu

Posted by aps
no man.....brightness option is there where u can cut the screen brightness to 50% of original...

Posted by mrao
Is it under warranty?..I suggest you take it to a serv centre and have it flashed

Posted by aps
dude i have aflashed version i mean flashed to R1L ...

Man this has got me curious! So is this just this guys phone or are all K750's the same? Can some other K750 owners weigh in with their observations?

It'd seem odd if there is no powersave function??

Posted by aps
i guess nobody else has this problem...

sent a complaint to sony helpline..lets see what happens...but most of the ppl i asked(t610 and k700 owners).. tell me that their screens do not fade out during a call..

I have a K750i on Orange.
My backlight remains on during calls as well. When using the phone normally, the backlight fades out as usual, but during a call, it remains lit.

I have the latest firmware, I've flashed it again with no change.

Just my situation fyi

Update the second...

I've talked to a friend who has this phone on O2 and his does the same.

However, we've noticed that after 30 secs or so, his dims to 50% brightness and stays like that for the call. I have mine at 50% all the time, so I've not noticed this.

Can anyone confirm any of this?

my K750 is exactly the same, the light stays on during a call, and drains the battery so bad.. am also usuing R1L002

Same Problem here. I got my cell just yesterday and the first thing I noticed wrong is that the backlight does not go off during a call. I tend to use the cell for hour long calls and this drains d battery a lot! My earlier nokia use to switch off the backlight during a call. SE, something is wrong and needs fixing.
