Ok I got some unwanted calls last night and it became quite personal, I am not going to bother reporting it to the cops (as they never do anything anyway ) and all the rest of it but I would like a rough idea if anyone can help me.
Its a UK mobile number so PM me if you can I will really appreciate it.
Thanks
P.s I am not sure what network its on.

Ok I will make this interesting, I will pay however gets me the details of this number £100.
Posted by Qoastro
Can't you just check the yellow pages or something....
Posted by themarques
Its a mobile number so NO...
Posted by Qoastro
You can't search mobile numbers on the yellow pages in the UK?
Here you can search every number by sending an sms or calling or through internet. We have like 4 different places who offers that service...

Ask your operator to block the number, will be faster

could be someone from esato?

My operator is a nightmare, before I get anyway I have to get to this call centre in India and then have some info read out of a text book...and then have them hang up on me...when I ask to speak to there uk colleagues.
Posted by Jim
I had the same problem as you, I know how it is
Posted by dude_se
i can block any number i want on my k500. in settings!

Posted by themarques
Well I want to first know there reason for that shit, and then I will block it. But the thing is they also send text messages and that you cant block.
Posted by goldenface
I would probably think about using a 2nd handset to catch them unawares . . . There must be a way. The first 5 digits of their number usually gives away the operator and if you call and listen to the voicemail greeting . . . that could also tell which operator.
Posted by jeko.uk
whats the first 4 digits
Posted by sailaab
Peeps, am a little unclear. Is this a pvt num (unknown) or could you identify the num. Are you in GB ? And is the intruding pyscho in India ? Please try to tell the num apart. +91 is India Country Code. If your Ops Call Centerz in India, then all the best ! ! If you can PM the num. We Indians could do enuf to find, who is putting our rep to the dogz. Your thread IS being discussed in our forum- SE India. Hope things work out for you !
Posted by themarques
I have caught them unaware and they slam the phone down, but I cant recognise there voice.
The first four digits are 07905 (I know that five) but I thought what the heck...
Once again thanks to everyone thats trying to help on this one.
@sailaab My apologies mate if it sounded like the person is from India...they are not its a UK number and someone in the UK. I was just saying that my UK call centre is actually in India (3 UK) but are not that helpfull as they always fob you off..if you ask for anything to technical thats not classed as everyday...

if they not known to you ...
just remember that old rhyme 'sticks and stones'
and let the sad lonely twat waste his/her money!!!!
Posted by defensive

Yeah stick and stones for sure, but when it involes very personal matters close to my heart then it requires action. I dont think its an ex or anyone of that matter its more close to a business rival.

I thought 07905 was Virgin?
Posted by SlickSter
it sounds like you have your suspicions as to who this dik is....!!
try and use your record sound feature on ya phone while they talkin and then hopefully you'll get some evidence....
police cant ignore IT if you got hard evidence

I guess as Virgin uses the T-mobile network that it would show up as that...so can we safely say that the person is probably on T-mobile?
With regards to my suspicion, yes my mind is running as we speak and I am hoping I can get a conclusive answer soon.
Posted by SlickSter
good luck... and i hope you get the sad bs-turd!!!
Posted by shelly58
i know you want to find out who this person is!! (if i knew i kick the shit from here to eternity!!)...but cant you just change your number and then just give it to the people you want to have it??...
Posted by Dicky Snapples
try calling them on one phone and then at the same time on another.
that way it will go to thier voice mail as the phone will be engaged(if they have v/m that is!) and it may say like " hi its (whoever) im not available at the moment etc etc then you'll have thier name. bit of a long shot but its worth a try!
and i dont think networks can block single numbers from calling(well at least mine cant) only all incoming or all outgoing
Posted by jeko.uk
why dont u post there number and we can all prank call he or her

that would just make us as bad as them!

In the US you have private services that charge about $100 to get you the name and address for any cell phone number or unlisted number. Search on the internet to see if you can find a service like that.

Thats a good one, I will do it tomorrow..but I still need more info about this damn person anyway..
With regards to me changing me number I dont see why I should have to over some stupid prankster,
Posted by amnesia
i say do what I did.
Set your phone to redirect to the US or something when busy.
Then when he calls, hang up and let him pay a huge amount.
Posted by themarques
@amnesia That is classic I like that..
Posted by Del
Long shot, but have you tried searching for their phone number on google ? I put in 07905 and came up with quite a few results.

I am banned here for trying to help ? Great !

Ok I tried calling the number to find out if it goes to voicemail and no joy, it just keeps ringing...
Now it could be they deactivated there voicemail or havent paid there bill?
Posted by DJcreamz
So you want to know this persons name??
Posted by JK
Do what i do... if you got the num and they phone with the number, just save the num in groups and then reject the group!!
It works but then they normally phone with a private number!

But he is also receiving texts which you cant block.
Posted by kk.226
Hey mate, Can't you post the number here? I'm sure if we all had it, some way we'll be able to find out who's it is.
Posted by toshie_wataru

aren't you the one who'll pay for redirecting the call?
Posted by bigredend
@ toshie_wataru
That's just what I was thinking ! You don't want to run up a huge bill just for some dik head
Posted by toshie_wataru
i guess you better ignore him. he'll surely stop once he realizes that you're not getting pissed off. then get back to him whe he least expect it.
Posted by themarques
I got someone looking into the number as we speak, will keep you posted of the outcome.
Posted by SlickSter
sounds like you got some cement and a dock/cliff in mind!!
REDRUM REDRUM (with a pointy finger) classic film (soz to go off there)
hope you sort and yes we'd all like to know the outcame of this ...
Posted by Residentevil
Just call it.
Posted by SlickSter
any updates ????
has any one seen that film Shallow Grave.....
Maybe that should be a middle finger up...
good luck
Posted by _Sassy_
I dunno who said that was a T-Mobile number but that's definitely a Virgin prefix. Of course it may have ported out from Virgin though......
Posted by cootuk
With number porting the caller could be on any network.
The best bet, if you want to pay, would be to get a Private Eye to do a bit of digging - it might be illegal to access mobile operator databases but they have friends who will do it.
Posted by themarques
They on T-mobile but everyone I know that was able to track it down is runnign scared to give me the info...
Posted by JK
iv got the best idea!!
cant tell u exactly but...
sign him(the number) up on one of those internet sms advertising things... but to 100's of them...
then he'll be getting spam sms's!!! 100 X a day!!
I actually know of a website that sms's u and you get charged R2.50(10p) p/sms !!!!
Posted by themarques
Yeah I had figured that one out, but I opted to give it a miss...if they report it they can track my ip add and it will all bounce back to me
