Hey! I'm on the fido prepaid package. First off, no. There is absolutely no activation fee, unless you are JUST buying a sim card. Then it costs 25.00. But still, no setup fee. Their rates are great and I'm in edmonton, alberta. I get really good coverage everywhere. Usually 4 - 5 bars, unless im in a basement or something. Then it goes down to 1 or 2. But that is generally expected.

I have to say if you're looking for a more "customer oriented" service provider, I'd go with fido. They're very nice people to be with.

as of august rogers and fido networks should be combined. thats what theyve been working on for the past few months and their excuse for the shity reception

so you should have same coverage as you had with rogers difference being you will pay extra for rogers roaming minutes or if you on monthly plan u can add rogers roaming for $5

as for rogers customers free roaming on fido network cause they are the bosses and their plans priced more to begin with fido signal little bit stronger in some parts of the toronto

generaly fido coverage pretty good in citties and surrounding areas but does not extend very far into rural areas as rogers does

Yea, that's the only bad thing about fido. As soon as I get 100km out of my city. I lose reception.
