You could include an option for such threads to be allowed, but with stricter moderation; perhaps a dedicated forum for them that only certain people are allowed to participate in.

I don't think so, it sounds like too much hassle. Personally, if I were a mod i'd do it this way, nice and easy. But i'll leave that up to the mods. For the time being this thread is for VOTING ONLY

having seen several threads like this and other just go down the tubes i ve come to realise i cant be arsed to waste time coming on here and reading drivel.
its seems that debate and discussion has well on truly gone out of the window, it doesnt matter who started what but its needs to stop and normal service be resumed
to keep the thread on topic i vote- couldnt care less as i dont intend to be around to see the out come as i can find better things to do with my time and internet connection. so adios to all i know and i hope this matter get sorted out for the good of the site
