Me? No doc. Still reporting. Because i believe in the other way that your food can be your medicine too.
Posted by mvinodkuumarr
if u change topic to doctors rather than ind docs there will be much scope for participation -- no offense moreover i guess ppl who r docs may be less in number so call global
Posted by sinesi
Cool,anymore participation..?

rajasub, welcome to esato.so we have 3 final year students and 2 mbbs.
@rajasub,wats ur plans?which is the branch that intrests u?
Posted by rajasub
hi dr_thug, plans r just to grab skin n VD. nothing less/more. isn't it cool br?
[ This Message was edited by: rajasub on 2005-07-12 15:44 ]
Posted by Oogamous
Yup..Somehow i've always been fond of Skin and Vd... Lite and cool...
Posted by dr_thug
not me
with GOD'S grace,if i get good rank in my pg entrence exam,i will choose surgery.
Posted by Oogamous
I would prefer a non-clinical branch so i have more time to myself... Initially i was hell bent on getting paediatrics or surgery, but now i'd be content with even Pathology... Let's see time will tell.. Still some time to go before CET decides it for me..
Posted by rajasub
even with a good rank i'll opt for skin, nothing else. trying hard.god bless us.
Posted by rajasub
what about rumours of AI exam in november?

[good thinking, with clinical br nobody can have spare time to enjoy]
Posted by dr_thug
oog,why do u want to have so much time to urself?
my options r surgery,ent,paediatrics...in that order.
i have a thing against skin.not me but my whole college.well we get a lot influenzed by doctors during our mbbs days.our skin hod is like a terror.during clinics,if u goof up a papule for a macule or a pustule and god knows what all,he would catch hold of ur ear, bring it towards him making u bend and give u a echo filled beating on ur back.
and once, during 2nd prof(our first clinical posting in skin),we were asked to name the various layers of epidermis.we couldnt say that in order.so he called a nursing student and asked her to tell us the answer.we were so ashamed.
by the way, his nickname is dr.guptule.

well... I like Skin, Because our Skin/VD department here is excellent...Top notch... Very clean and we have got to see a whole wide variety of patients... And the department makes it look so good and easy, that Every person in my college who has completed Skin term does consider it as an option... Plus i find it nice and easy... In case u read "Khopkar" too for skin - he's the Guy from our college... I have Reasd Khopkar entirely twice... I think i'd consider myself strong in skin..
And i want time for myself to pursue with certain creative stuff i have in mind.. I am into mini movie making these days, which i really enjoy... How that i can pursue that sometime.. let's see where life takes me...
Posted by dr_thug
well, oog,i too like movie making idea.i like the direction and script writing and camera areas.i have seriously thought about it but since i dont know, where to start off,the idea never moved foward.
if u have made any small movie,do send it to me.i would love to see it.
Posted by Oogamous
Well i have made a few movies, but they are quite for fun.. All of them so far have been made about my college friends- poking fun at them. But i am planning to make some nice documentary soon. When i do so i'll send it to you. And now with the k750's built in video dj, it's easier and fun.. Useful little application..
Posted by sinesi
Cooool response palz..i see derma is a hot option since it never has emergency calls, nobody is interested in MLE..?
Posted by dr_thug
so doctor sin, wats ur plans after mbbs?
Posted by sinesi
Well, its definitely gotta be a clinical branch..isn't indian pg entrance too tough ? May consider MLE..
Posted by dr_thug
mle?? as in usmle??
Posted by sinesi
Yup
Posted by rajasub
hi,no one visits here regularly,so whats d use of this thread?
Posted by sinesi
Guess not too many docs around!
Posted by rajasub
but what about us,who already appeared here, though not regularly.any serious discussion? com'on docs..
Posted by sailaab
Am not a Doc.. Think the Thread should be more active, nice effort ?
Any ( or doing) Ortho Dentist here ?
How would you all comment on Cosmetic Dentistry scene here ?
Is it going to be big ?
Posted by sinesi
Cosmetic orthodentistry is already quite famous..@r-sub wudya suggest, what do ya do?
Posted by rajasub
dentist?? i know, 32 teeth--> 4yrs to study n easy life.
i'm busy with my prePG preparations.god(harrison) will help me.
Posted by sinesi
The element of 'dentist' refered to someone's query..tell me is harrison a must for pg entrance?why dont ya consider usmle?
Posted by rajasub
yeah, harrison is must atleast for AIprePG,AIIMS n PGI, not for state exams. not considering mle for personal reasons.dentist-->i hate this word.

Hi doctors, how is life?Harrison is must for pg cet.I will say it is important even for usmle. From knowledge wise,it has to be read at least once completely.Sai.The ortho dentistry is already a big thing.

Since we r in nuclear age..do we need to stock KI tablets (against radiation)? What r the other precautions?
Posted by Oogamous
KI?? as in Potassium Iodide?
How's that going to help us against a nuclear bomb? The only formaidable precaution against post nuclear radiation would be complete head to toe lead suits.
Posted by dr_thug
and that suit better be damn thick.
and KI

If care is to be taken at every step then better to sit at home. Why to apply vicks today for tomorrow's head ache.
