Sorry Masseur you didn't post it at all. Here's the post;
_____________________________________________
1. To hide your number before you call someone just press; #31# 2. to change the delay time before your phones answer machine kicks in press; d**61*07973100123*11*30# the last two digits between the * and the # symbol can be altered from 5 seconds upto 30 seconds only, the above example is set for the maxium delay of 30 seconds, the default setting is 15 second, so depending on how quick you want your answerphone to kick in enter 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30. unless i am very much mistaken.

I think I can be forgiven for thinking it was one of yours - look how he signed off - so either he's pinched your tag line or he's Murray Walker returned.
Anyway I'm in at Telstra Mobile tomorrow talking about their Java delivery platform so I'll ask them. If there's anything you'd like me to find out .......
Posted by masseur
btw, here is another thread that describes the process. I just tried it on my UK vodafone service and it worked fine but I got the message "network problem" doing the *#104# command using my telstra sim card. I am in Germany so it could be something to do with that but if you know the number you have to dial to get to your voicemail box (not the short code) then thats is probably what you need
in regards to your telstra visit, perhaps you can get an answer for baz in this thread

hey, does anyone know what's good for couples (or anyone else) to do in sydney?
just thinkin' ahead for my honeymoon - we're probably going to an island for about a week but we are also thinking of spending a few days in the harbour city.
hopefully well away from the spiders!
Posted by masseur
well, I would suggest some of the following.
a dinner cruise on the harbour.
a meal up either centre point or australia square. Centre point is higher but Australia square is closer to the bridge. They are both rotating restaurants btw
I would also suggest a bridge climb. its not in the least bit scary or requiring particularly much energy, and you are hooked onto a rail on the bridge for the whole duration. I did it when it opened and it was fantastic
cocktail in a bar at darling harbour which overlooks darling harbour. unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it but it upstairs in the middle
if you like seafood you shouldn't miss Jordans at darling harbour. its not cheap but fantastic food
a quick once around on the mono rail
I haven't been to any night clubs in central sydney for many years so can't suggest much in that direction
obviously you can take a trip out of town to the blue mountains/katoomba or jenolan caves (or both)
thats what comes to mind right away. I'll add more as I think about it
and forget about the bl**dy spiders

thanks masseur. if anything else occurs to you please let me know.
@mazza: when this website lists a price then it will be available, or will be in a week or so. they generally have handsets a little earlier than the agents of the various carriers (usually by a few days).

yep the spiders are a real threat to the sydney population ... so be carful!!

Hey guys, Melbourne & T610! Has anyone here had any sucess in Bluejacking here? I can view phones that have Bluetooth turned on but an error always occurs if I try to send a contact or something. Ohh yeah.. and phone-internet is way to expensive to use here don't you reckon?

For any of you who regularly take photos or video, here's an excellent new Australian site that allows you to share your pics immediately with anyone on the web.
http://www.moblogs.com.au
Once you register you get an email address that goes: usernamePIN@moblogs.com.au
then you just email pics and video as attachments and they display immediately on your moblog. I've been using it for a while now, my username is wasabi... check out my moblog it's pretty addictive once you start. You can download pics to your pc and email from there as well, which means you pay nothing )) cool fun.

Anyone know where I can get reasonably priced replacement stylus for my SE P800 in Brisbane..or Australia in Australian $??
Thanks in Advance!

try Accord Customer Care Solutions. i don't know if they have a Brisbane office so try their website.
http://www.accordccs.com/network/australia/australia_SE_Syd.htm
the above url gives Sydney locations, but you can follow the links.
EDIT: oops! just checked the website and they are not in bris-vegas.
SE customer service should be able to help you out though.

Give Latham a go Howard's been PM for nearly 10 years!
I'm sick of looking at the bloke.
Vote Labour.

decisions...decisions......
a choice between a bloke who i KNOW has been lying to me for nearly 10 years, and a bloke who will PROBABLY lie to me for the next 3. the only difference is, when liberals lie the media doesn't care so much.

I'm always watching here mate!
hows it over your way? Perth, or in fact WA, is the only place I haven't been yet.
I have a pilots licence and have done Bankstown to Ayers Rock and the Alice and still plan to fly myself right across to Perth sometime
Posted by Davo_169
its going fine over here, state elections are coming up soon. If your ever over here make sure you go down to the southern towns like pemberton and walpole to see the beautiful karri, jarrah, tingle forrests before bunings chops it all down. its absolutely breathtaking (if you like that sort of stuff or coarse).
Posted by masseur
unfortunately when I do get over there I'll have to be heading north as I have promised the family a visit to mokey mia for as long as I can remember. depends how much time we spend over that way though

yeah its very nice up there too

hey all,
Im after a Sony Erricson K700i, whats the best deal going around you have found? I'm looking to go on a contract.
I was looking at a cap plan but you have to pay $15 off the phone every month so its totally useless. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
Posted by Davo_169
@hoff
welcome to esato mate, its good to see more aussies here.
brand new unbranded K700i for $549 and then go on a byo plan so you dont pay the monthly handset fee.
http://www.techoni.com.au
they are really fast delivery
that really pisses me off because about 2 months ago i payed $649 for mine from the same site
hope this helps

@davo
thanks davo. I was actually thinking of going on the Yes 45 Plan with Optus. There is no upfront fee, no monthly repayments and best of all they have that deal where, if you send 3 sms's in one day the next 30 for that day are free (im a big sms user). Just wanted to see if anyone else found good plans but this one seems the best for me I think. I spend $45 a month anyway...
Posted by Davo_169
good to see you found what you want.
im on optus prepaid because im not old enough for plan but they are alot better than telstra
Posted by gelfen
if you are on the east coast you may want to try www.ow.com.au
they are about the same price. i recommend buying outright and then getting a pre- or post-paid PAYG deal. i did that with voda because i could still get the "no plans" post-paid deal. if i were doing it now i would do the same, although i'd probably be forced into a pre-paid deal (which for me is kinda annoying - i have a paranoia about running out of credit at the critical moment

come on aussies,
i know your out there somewhere.
i need something, anything, im dyin' out here.
is there anybody here that cant wait for the cricket on thursday
Posted by hoff123
Hey All,
I finally got my K700i. I love it! Like most of you have said, the battery life on it is the only real downfall for the phone.
I used to be a Nokia user so I have to adjust to the sms system but overall I love the phone! I got Optus Zoo and been trying to watch TV, a little jumpy but its all good.
Davo: Im up for the cricket! Should be good!
Posted by gelfen
c'mon aussie!
Posted by Davo_169
@is the TV via GPRS streaming??
Posted by hoff123
Yes, i think so? Im still a newbie to SE so bear with me.. LOL!
I just go to ‘Optus Zoo’ then to ‘Entertain Me’ and then I can get ‘Live TV’. Channels only available are SBS, ABC and CNN
Runs a little jumpy. Optus claims this is a ‘free service’. I hope it is!
Why do u ask Davo?
Posted by Davo_169
because my guess would be that you dont get charged for the tv but for the GPRS usage,
so i might suggest to you that you stop using it until you find out if you do get stung with GPRS fees
Posted by hoff123
LOL! Yeah, ,might be a good idea. I haven’t used it too much anyways. Will wait until my bill and see if I got charged or not.. will be interesting.
Posted by Davo_169
yeah good call on that one.
i was thinkin of buying another optus prepay sim, and the get the 1 months free GPRS and the subscribe for the TV and have it all for free
man we are not doing too well in the cricket right about now
Posted by hoff123
Now that you mention it, I just signed up on a new contract so GPRS and WAP and all that are free right? We recovered well in the cricket didn’t we! LOL!
Posted by hoff123
Dam, its just free GPRS and MMS. "Free to browse Optus Zoo but downloads cost" Optus claims
