Thats because very much like the like the Vertu the parts and UI are made by Nokia.And because it is a high end phone the phone is fully handmade with the finest materials and parts and so it has a price to match at $1200 still a tad cheaper than the vertue.

Its just a difference of opinion but i quite like the idea of a Hardened Glass phone or Even Carved Animal bone...I mean why the hell not?..they are just different materials which would give a unique feel to the handsets....As long as they are done tastefully i am very open minded to different materials.
