You are right buddy.Siemens have already overtaken SE a few months back ! And now they are consolidating their position.I expect Alcatel to overtake SE too before the end of the Year after the K750i fiasco. We only can hope SE will eventualy learn from its mistakes :-(

Nokia are genrally crap at the moment, exept for the communicator phones, which i think, better the iMATE JAM and XDA2i etc..etc.. but nokia seem to be coming to their senses, that their phones are ugly, and making new sleek designs, might give them more respect!!
Posted by mario2002
You know what buddy, I agree with you on this one :-) Unfortunately it looks like the rest of the world is not on our site :-( HINT : Look at the value of the Nokia shares over the last month or so - is that 15+% up or are my eyes misleading me ;-)

out of the 4 phones released, most are repackaged phone. (quite embarassing really). se did terribly in Q1. then the of buggy K750 fiasco. And with these kind of phones announced, there is really nothing to look forward to for se fans.
K608 is exactly the same as K600 (except the plastic casing). This repackaging is so pathetic that even Nokia cannot beat this.
S600 is just S700 without memory slot. Is this progression or regression?

lol
k750 a fiasco??? k750 is selling like hotacakes all over the world, it has the favour of both critics and buyers, it has the best camera in the market. Yeah, some have bugs, but unlike nokia now every single person can update their firmware at home with the provided cable...no more bugs then.
One hast to be really narrwonminded fanboy to ignore k750 is a major breakthrough from SE - first camera phone that can produce real photo quality. A powerfull small and ligh phone, with great video and music player, radio and an fabulous camera for a phone...yeah, itīs a fiasco

never said K750 is not a good phone. With the kind of bad publicity it is getting, it sure lost a lot of potential. maybe it OK for you to buy a phone which can only be used confidently without crashing after the next firmware update 1-2 months after you bought it. Well, I can only say you are a very forgiving and tolerable to whatever piece of SE crap sell to you. You can have most advance tech but if it is unreliable, it is still piece of junk.
S600 is target at different segment. So? Why take out the essential memory slot which effectively cripple the phone in terms of capability. 6681 and 3230 are targetted at different segments. Do Nokia take out the memory slot for 3230?

most people i know here have k750 without bugs...when i buy it, it will have a decent firmware - July...
my k700 also had some minor problems when i bought it, right after it was launched, but soon the problems were corrected, and itīs been working fantastic since 1 year ago
You use the expresion "SE piece of junk"..so, t610 (i had it before the k700), k700 and k750 are all pieces of junk because some early bugs in some units???? You need treatment
s600 will be cheaper than 3230, so what stupid comparation is that??? stupid would be making a smartphone without memory expansion - and stupid is having A MP3 PLAYER with MONO SOUND, like the 3230 - you seem to forget this...pity...SE phones with mp3 playing capability were always and are always STEREO

No problems with bugs in my K750.

iv never found a bug with the samsung phones, especially the d500, not one bug what so ever, so if your wanting a bug free phone, try samsung

minor problems??. You must be bloody joking. A phone (K750) that freezes when left idle is minor problem?. Tell me then what is major problem then. Let me guess - K750 zap you with huge radiation and render you brain-damage when you use it

who is doing comparison here betw 3230 & S600. My gosh. You are really off your knockers. My point is why the heck SE took out the memory slot from S600 eventhough it can have it in. Let me make another guess. Screw its customers?
and r u sure that S600 will sell below 3230?

Yes minor problems, easily corrected with new firmware. And the phones with problems are not the majority. The fact is, for example, ik750 is labeled in Germany right now has the "Samsung and Siemens Destroyer"...it is easily reaching the tremendous sucess of the t610.

s600 donīt have the mem slot for avoiding competition with k750, that has already a low price (can be bought for little above 300 euros)

just look at the price k750 was launched...you can imagine how low will be the price of s600

or look at the price of the s700 when launched and you could argue it will be more expensive

Is there already more than one commercial firmware release available for it? If not, it's kind of impossible with same firmware that some of the people have the bugs and some don't. Bugs are errors in the firmware and everybody have the same firmware have the same bugs.
Posted by mib1800
it is so interesting to see some here trying to defend SE on this.
firmware or not, it is inexcusable to have this kind of product released to market. Frankly, I have not heard phones of other manufacturers froze when just left IDLE.
i think all right-minded consumers should put pressure on SE by boycotting this product. Otherwise, you are giving impression to SE that you are toothless puppies.

Everyone keeps going on about the K750i, you dont know anything about it till you've owned one for a month.
Terrible build quality.
SE have obviously gone nokia on this one, (with the slight variated W800, and feature packed but shit build quality)
Although its a better move for the company. Theyre delivering weaker and weaker phones.

I think se is a new leader in 3g network with k600. Where is the Nokia answer to this ?
Posted by temperamental
i love SE! i had an s700i but due to a freak accident, it was beyond repair. i am temporarily using a k500i but after work today, i'm off to buy a k750i (hopefully) the only misgiviing i have with SE Phones is our inability to edit the message alert settings. in a country who's gaga over text messaging, being able to modify the sms alert is an impt factor
Posted by mario2002
SE leader of the 3G market with the k600 ? ? ? I hope you are joking (I know you are) or you mean they are leaders if you count the 3G cell companies from the bottom of the list to the top ;-)
Posted by suzik700
If you want a brick(nokia 6680-135grams)i know is ok against hurricane;or k600-105 grams
is your choice. And but the way , when se manufacture a 3g phone blokia new release was the new 3310-when se make the superb t68i blokia response was 6310 another brick to keep you away against tornado.

I wasnt around for a few weeks,so im not quite aware me new phone announcements , so please answer my queries, doesnt s600 have a graphic acceralator?if yes anymore details about it (3d acceralator)?Does it have dual speakers?I heard it has some special browser, whats that about? Does it have edge? And finally when will it hit the market?

i think k750i is far better than any of the nokia phones released .....i am talking about the phones...not PDA....please dont compare the k750i with the PDA abnd doing injustice to it....
Posted by suzik700
Yes,i agree. We must compare the k750 with the 6230. We complain about se joystick-phone but with the 6230 joystick is
a lottery to find a way to work.
Posted by mario2002
You are right,we are only compare it to the s60 phones. Not even in my dreams I will think of comparing it to the mighty S80/90 line up ! And if you suggest the S40/60 is a pda then you should suggest to Nokia to market them as such ! I don't think that even the most entusiastic nokia supporter will claim the s40/60 lineup to be pda's ! The main feature of a pda is a big screen used for input. Both s40/60 are not working that way. They have a robust keyboard and look very much like a normal cellphone from outside, but are on steroides inside ;-)
Posted by suzik700
Compare the k700 with the 6230 and the winner is k700 of course.we talkin about phone not smartphone
Posted by mario2002
You seem to miss the point. Why on earth should I pay so much for a normal phone which can't even multitask if I can buy a smart phone.I don't care what name is it if the feature and price are right ;-) Be clever ,buy with your head and not your hard.

Going from a nokia 7610 to a SE k750i, im very pleased. Actually I found it very annoying that apps would pile up on the memory of the 7610. Simple is better, as long as it's well designed, as the SE phones are!
Posted by mario2002
Yeah buddy simple may be better if you want a simple phone to do simple things with it. But than the price must be simple too. Greetings from South Africa. Mario
