Wave Theme Maximised Background Problem

Just got my K750i today - from what I hear, when you set a picture to be a maximised wallpaper with the Wave theme, the top and bottom of the picture, where the battery icon and Calls/Menu are, is meant to be slightly faded out - this doesn't happen on mine. Any suggestions?
