I was wondering if SanDisk Memory Stick 1GB PRO Duo would work in my new (se) z1010.
1) What is the memory limit for cards
2) PRO DUO...is that compatible
3) The card comes with an adapter...would that work with my phone.
4) Must I use sony only brands?
Cheers,
Matt

You can get a memory stick duo adapter to stick the pro stick in. That way it fits in normally.
But still my concern is the memory limit. If i stick 1GB or 512mb stick in there will it work?

It ONLY supports MS duo, NOT duo pro. The maximum capacity of MS duo is 128 Mb. So iŽm sorry to say it but it woŽnt work.
The brand of the MS doesŽnt matter thow.

I believe you have completely misunderstood here!
There is no such adapter. The adapter that comes with Duos (the small MS) is large in size and is to make the small Duo fit into the larger MemoryStick slots.
Normal MemorySticks are bigger than MemoryStick Duos.
Now we come to PRO Duo and normal Duo.
Normal Duo only goes up to 128MB.
The Z1010 only supports normal Duo and NOT PRO so therefore the biggest Duo for a Z1010 is 128MB.
Any Duos of larger memory capacity are PRO Duo and so will not work in that phone.
There is also no way to make them work in that phone.
